Abstract: The case has the general shape of a bell open at its lower portion to receive the apparatus. The case has a handle on its upper surface for carrying the apparatus housed inside the case, this handle being provided with means coupling it directly to the apparatus and held on the case by elastic means. The handle of the case is U-shaped and has two bayonet connectors housed in respective arms of the U. The upper portion of the apparatus has apertures to receive the ends of the bayonet connectors, the handle having at least one manipulating member for the bayonet connectors.

Abstract: An ironing press of the type wherein the stationary ironing board is heated by a heating plate lowered onto it by an arm pivotally secured to the press body. To allow freedom of movement in all directions of the heating plate with reference to the ironing board, there is associated with a central multi-directional pivotal connection between the heating plate and the carrier arm, an elastic connection constituted by coaxially bored bosses raised on the plate, the bores in said bosses being engaged by pivots elastically fitted on the carrier arm at points lying with the pivotal connection on a line parallel with the pivotal axis between the heating plate and the carrier arm.

A motor speed controller comprising resistors connected to contact strips 5 successively engaged by a sloping plate 9 when a plunger 6 is depressed, has an adjustable stop rod 10 which abuts a projection 15 to limit the travel of plunger 6 and hence the maximum speed of the motor. Rod 10 has two axially-displaced radial projections 16 and 17 for selective cooperation with one of three radial notches 18 of different depths arranged at different angular positions in the underside of part 12 of plunger 6. One side of part 12 is cut away to avoid interference with projections 16 and 17. Thus by inserting a screwdriver in slot 22 at the top of rod 10, depressing the rod against the actionof retraction spring 8 and rotating it, any one of six different maximum amplitudes of depression of plunger 6 may be selected.

Abstract: The sewing machine has flaps hinged to the frame forming a carrying case therewith and are foldable downwards to form a worktable. The flaps are hinged along the base of the machine and are in two portions with connecting hinges enabling the outer edges of the flaps to rest on the base clear of the free arm. The connecting hinges have two hinging axis positions laterally separated and parallelly separated by a slideway, enabling the flaps to form a worktable either flush with the top surface of the free arm or below and clear of the latter. A lug holds the two portions blocked for the packing position of the flaps. A front flap may be one piece or of two hinged portions and attached to the front edge of the base.
