    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. excellent in moldability and free from unpleasant odor and toxicity by mixing a reaction product which mainly comprises a chemically modified cellulose material and contains an unreacted monoepoxy compd. with a specific phosphorus compd. and reacting the epoxy compd. with the phosphorus compd. CONSTITUTION:An unreacted monoepoxy compd. remaining in a reaction product mainly comprising a chemically modified cellulose material reacted with a reactive component at least contg. the monoepoxy compd. (e.g. phenyl glycidyl ether) is mixed and reacted with at least one phosphorus compd. selected from the group consisting of compds. of formulas I to V [wherein R1 and R2 are each H, 1-18C alkyl, aryl, halogenated alkyl, or R3OR4 (wherein R3 and R4 are each 1-5C alkyl), R5, R6, R7, and R8 are each H, 1-18C alkyl, or aryl; R9 and R11 are each aryl; and R10 and R12 are each OH or aryl], giving the title compsn. The compsn. is free from unpleasant odor and toxicity due to the unreacted monoepoxy compd., excellent in moldability, and useful as a thermal press molding material.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the above composition being excellent in thermal stability and from which a plasticlike molded product can be obtained, by a method wherein a specific stabilizer is added to an oligoesterized matter obtained by adding alternately a polybasic acid anhydride and epichlorohydrin or a monoepoxy compound containing the same to a hydroxyl group of a ligneous material. CONSTITUTION:The present oligoesterized lingneous material is obtained by such a method that the ligneous material, epichlorohydrin or a monoepoxy compound containing the same and a polybasic acid anhydride are caused to react at the same time. An oligomer and unreacted matter which are obtained as a by-product may not be removed. A vegitable fiber such as straw or lignocellulose may be preferable as the ligneous material. Phthalic anhydride is preferable as a polybasic anhydride from a view point of thermal stability. At least one kind or two kinds out of an organic acid salt compound, inorganic acid salt compound and organic tin compound are used as the stabilizer, basic carbonate, tribasic lead sulfate and stearic acid barium are preferable and it is preferable to add 0.5-20 pts.wt. of the same on the basis of 100 pts.wt. oligoesterized ligneous material. When this composition is heat-pressed at 120-200 deg.C, a plasticlike molded product is obtained and also transfer molding and injection molding are possible.
