Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a great number of sheets of photographic printing paper to be supplemented by a method wherein a paper feed means which feeds the photographic printing paper to a platen is provided between the platen and a feed tray, and the paper feed means is used concurrently as a delivery means. CONSTITUTION:When a delivery tray is detached from between a pair of side plates, a delivery opening 6 joins a paper feed opening 5 to form a large opening part 4. A paper feed tray 20 is exposed, and a hand and photographic printing paper 9 can be inserted onto the paper feed tray 20 through the opening part 4. Thereby, a great number of sheets of photographic printing paper 9 can be supplemented to a photographic printing paper housing room 22 of the paper feed tray 20 while the paper feed tray 20 is equipped to an inside of a printer body 2 as it is. Further, when it is required to print photographically several sheets of different kind of the photographic printing paper (a postcard, OHP, etc.), they can be manually inserted. Further, since jamming treatment of the photographic printing paper in feeding paper and delivering paper can be simply carried out, the printer is excellent in service conditions.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the amount used or the remainder amount of an ink ribbon discernible correctly even though the ink ribbon is replaced in the middle of its use. CONSTITUTION:A counter gear 5 is provided to a spool 4 of an ink ribbon cassette 1, and after the ink ribbon cassette 1 is mounted to a printer, the counter gear 5 is turned at a specified angle by operation of a pulse motor 16 whenever one sheet of the ink ribbon 2 is used, and the amount of the ink ribbon used is recorded. By reading the position of turning of the counter gear 5 by means of mark detection with a detecting brush 17, the amount of the ink ribbon 2 used in the ink ribbon cassette 1 that is replaced in the middle of its use can be discerned.

PURPOSE:To prevent duplicate feeding of paper sheets by bending a paper carrying passage in the vicinity of a separating roller relative to the rotational axis direction of a paper feeding belt in a paper feeding device employing the separating roller of a printer or the like. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding device 11 is provided with a paper carrying passage 12 where paper sheets are carried, a paper feeding belt 14 to feed the paper sheets in the paper sheet feeding direction, a separating roller 15 which is placed opposite to this paper feeding belt 14 so as to hold the paper carrying passage 12 and separates the paper sheet under carriage piecewise. A pair of an upper and a lower bent parts 12c, 12c and 12d, 12d of approximately semi-conical shape which protrude upward relative to the direction of the rotational axis of the rotary shaft 14d of the roller 14 of the paper sheet feeding belt 14 are integratedly formed respectively in the vicinity of the separating roller 15 on the respective sides of a pair of an upper and a lower paper sheet carrying guide plates 12a, 12b constituting the paper carrying passage 12.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect a skew insertion or the like of paper chucked by a platen roller in a printer feeding paper by the platen roller at the time of printing. CONSTITUTION:A paper chuck 2 for pressing down photographic paper fed to a cutout part 1b of a platen roller 1 to chuck the leading end thereof is mounted on the platen roller 1. Two prisms 10a, 10b forming parts of two sets of paper detection sensors for detecting the leading end of the chucked photographic paper are juxtaposed in a paper feed direction on the platen roller 1. Depending on whether both the two sets of paper detection sensors detect paper, whether the paper is chucked normally or in a skew insertion state is detected.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To use transfer paper without wastefulness by using the taking-out spool for a mounted transfer paper/recording paper cartridge as a supply spool and providing a lock means preventing the rotation of the spool during the transfer of the spool to a spool transfer means. CONSTITUTION:During the transfer of a supply spool 5 toward a loading completing position, the rotation of the supply spool 5 is prevented. That is, when an ink ribbon/printing paper cartridge 2 is moved to a mounting position, the pawl 50b of a lock lever 50 is meshed with the gear part 13 of the supply spool 5 to prevent the rotation of the supply spool 5 and the supply spool 5 is taken out of a cartridge case 7 as it is. When chuck arms 48, 48 come to the position immediately before the loading completing position, the position near to the other end part 50c of the lock lever 50 comes into contact with a stopper pin 102 to be relatively pressed and the lock lever 50 is revolved in a slight counterclockwise direction to separate the pawl 50b from the gear part 13 of the supply spool 5.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent errors in corresponding relationship between recording paper and transfer paper and setting the front or rear surface of the recording paper by providing a recording paper accommodating portion integrated with a transfer paper accommodating portion, and also providing an engaging groove with which an engaging member mounted on a recording device is engaged. CONSTITUTION:When an ink ribbon/developing paper cartridge 1 is inserted into a cartridge holder 54, the cartridge holder 54 is first pushed by the ink ribbon cartridge 1 to be moved in the backward direction. During the cartridge holder 54 is thus moved up to a specified distance, engaging levers 56, 56 are engaged with engaging grooves 22, 22 formed on a cartridge case 6, so that the cartridge case 6 is fixed on the cartridge holder 54 and a moving mechanism 55 is driven. Consequently, the cartridge holder 54 is moved at the position where an ink ribbon/developing paper cartridge 1 is mounted such that the back surface of the cartridge case 6 closes a cartridge removably mounting port 58a.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an occurrence of a skew by positioning a roll paper unit by a simple mechanism with a high degree of precision without causing a sharp rise in manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A printer includes a roll paper tray 4 which supports a pair of roll paper holders of the roll paper unit 2000 made up of roll paper 1000 and a pair of the roll paper holders 1001 having a flange 1002, and an apparatus body 3 provided with a first reference axis 44 and a second reference axis 45. The roll paper tray can move between a drawing position and a storage position where the roll paper unit is stored in the apparatus body. The roll paper tray is provided with a biasing axis 31 that is biased to the direction to come into contact with an outer peripheral surface of a pair of the flanges by an exciter spring. When the roll paper tray is moved from the drawing position to the storage position, the first reference axis and the second reference axis come into contact with a pair of the roll paper holders, and the biasing axis is pressed by the biasing spring, causing the roll paper unit to be positioned in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction.
