Abstract: PURPOSE:To synthesize a video signal transmitted through a single signal line by a simple constitution by switching a still picture video signal and a dynamic picture video signal stored in a storage means, based on a key signal. CONSTITUTION:A video signal from an image pickup part 11 of a camera is supplied to an input terminal 1 being a single signal line, supplied to a field memory 4 through a switch 14, and an output signal of this field memory 4 and the signal from the input terminal 1 are switched by a switch 13 and fetched to an output terminal 3. Subsequently, first of all, a key picture is photographed by the image pickup part 11 and written in a memory 12, and next, a still picture is written in the field memory 4, and also, simultaneously with photographing of a dynamic picture, the switch 13 is switched in accordance with a key signal. In such a way, the video signal transmitted through a single signal line can be synthesized by a simple constitution.

In this way, it is possible to record the video signal without the jitter on a tape, even when uneven rotation is generated in the drum.
