Abstract: PURPOSE: To lower the cost and simplify the workability and thereby enhance reliability by reducing a transparent conductive film deposition area.
CONSTITUTION: A bulb body 1 of cathode ray tube has such a structure that the first and second panels 2, 3 and the funnel part 4 to which the neck bulb 5 accommodating electron gun 6 is welded are joined together. An insulator which is a material for forming the panel 3, for example, the surface of glass is exposed directly and is arranged to face the phosphor surface 8. Moreover, the area receiving impact of collision of electron beam b from the electron gun 6, namely the entire area corresponding to the scanning region of electron beam or at least a part of surface layer is formed by a material having comparatively high secondary electron emission ratio. Thereby, upon starting of operation of cathode ray tube, the emitted secondary electron runs to the internal surface of second panel 3 facing thereto and is cumulated thereon. Since the secondary electron has a high voltage, the inside of bulb can be stably held at a constant high voltage within a short period of time.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a thick film resistor, which has a high resistance accuracy and is more stable to high temperature and high pressure which are caused by knocking or the like, by forming the second resistor, one end of which is earthed, on the surface of a glass layer, along the longitudinal direction of the glass layer, and connecting one end of the second resistor to the end of the first resistor which is on the low-voltage side. CONSTITUTION:An RuO2-glass system paste containing RuO2 and glass in a ratio of over around 35 to 65, is applied to an alumina base plate 15 or the like by screen printing or something similar so as to make electrodes 30a-30d with given shapes. Next, an RuO2-glass system paste with a high area resistance is applied in liquid form between the electrodes 30a-30d so as to make a resistor 17. Here, guard electrodes 31a-31f are provided so that peripheral parts of each of the electrodes 30a-30d facing to one another are slightly covered. As a result, since the peripheral parts of the electrodes 30a-30d having low resistance are covered with the guard patterns 31a-31f having high resistance in such a manner as above, arcs developed by electric discharge during knockig hardly come to concentrate on the electrodes 30a-30d, and the sputtering can be suppressed.

An illuminance correcting filter 4 for correcting the illuminance of the exposure light 10, a correction lens 5 for correcting the track of the exposing light 10, and a light shutoff plate 6 to shut off the light 10 incident to other than a scanning window 61 are installed between the light source 3 and a frame mask assembly 20 in the named sequence from the side with the light source 3. At exposure, the light source 3 is located in a position Z1 nearer to the panel 1 by a distance ΔZs than the light source installing position in a conventional aligner.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke which exhibits excellent self-convergence over a whole area of a display without preparing a correcting circuit additionally. SOLUTION: In an interior side of a horizontal separator 23 comprising a deflection yoke, a pin 23a for securing a horizontal deflection coil 24 is arranged. To make the horizontal deflection coil 24, a winding for generating a main deflection magnetic field is formed from an x-axis end side of the horizontal separator 23 toward its y-axis end side. After this winding is formed, winding is moved onto a part where a reverse-direction winding is necessary and a loop winding is formed without passing a bend part on a y-axis in a quadrant by using the pin 23a. By forming the winding in this way, a degree of freedom of a winding pattern can be widened and excellent self-convergence can be obtained over the entire area of an image plane.

The inner sleeve 15 and the outer sleeve 16 are bonded together at a rear end part of the outer sleeve 16 and at same time, the outer sleeve 16 and the sleeve holder 18 are bonded together near a tip part of the outer sleeve.

For example, groups of respective picture elements R, G, and B in every two adjacent lines are driven for display in odd-numbered fields without any omission as shown by a chain line (a) to constitute display line elements L1, L3, L5..., e.g. scanning lines, and groups of respective picture elements R, G, and B in every two adjacent lines shifting from the combinations in the even-numbered fields by one line are driven similarly for display in even- numbered fields without any omission as shown by a chain line (b) to constitute display line elements L2, L4..., e.g. scanning lines. Consequently, the scanning line density is improved and high picture quality is obtained.
