Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a color cathode ray tube capable of surely carrying out address detection by a light pen pick up system, by separately applying each of a green light-emitting phosphor, a blue light-emitting phosphor and a specified red light-emitting phosphor to a color fluorescent screen. CONSTITUTION:Each of a green light-emitting phosphor (e.g. ZnS:CuAl), a blue light-emitting phosphor (e.g. ZnS:Ag) and a red light-emitting phosphor obtd. by incorporating 5-30wt% phosphor of (ZnCd)S:Ag or (ZnCd)S:Cu in an rare earth element phosphor (e.g. Y2O2S:Eu), is separately applied to a color fluorescent screen.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To avoid the slurries of a fluorescent substance from scattering and mass- produce formation of the fluorescent screen by performing the positional setting of an electron beam arrival positioning means through the engagement of the engagement devices provided on this means side and of the concaves provided on the flat panel. CONSTITUTION:The single concave 10 which sets the reference position in the horizontal and vertical directions meeting a right angle with each other in the panel of the electron beam arrival positioning means 7 and the guide grooves 11a and 11b, which checks the rotation for the panel 4 of the means 7, but which releases the relative elongation for the panel 4 of the means 7 based on the difference in thermal expansion coefficient against the panel 4 of the means 7 are provided at the ineffective screen part on the inside of the panel 4 consisting of flat glass. On the other hand, the engagement devices which correspond to the concave 10 of the panel 4 and the guide grooves 11a and 11b, respectively, and which engage with them are provided on the frame 8 of the means 7. This produces fluorescent screens in a great quantity.
