Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the size of the titled device by arranging a coil so as to surround a permanent magnet to be an external magnetic field forming means and rotating the permanent magnet by 180 deg. in a required direction by repulsion force due to a magnetic field generated by current supply into the coil and a magnetic field formed by the permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic chip 12 is arranged on any one of the 1st-4th quadrants, magnetic state around the permanent magnet 3 is changed from balanced state around the X axis, so that the magnet 3 is inclined from the X axis as shown in a dotted line. Since the magnetic state around the magnet 3 is unbalanced from the center axis 9, the magnet 3 always tries to rotate as shown in the dotted line in the no current supply state into the coil, and thereby, when there is no magnetic chip 12, i.e. when the magnetic state is balanced, the magnet 3 is prevented from a trouble such that the magnet 3 is positioned on a dead point and interrupted from being inverted inspite of current supply into the coil to invert the magnet 3 and precise inverting operation can be attained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-assisted bicycle which can perform a correct calculation of workload and give a correct value such as calory consumption or the like to a user.
SOLUTION: A vehicle controller 31 uses, as a repetitive operation every unit time, a stepping force from a pedal detected by a torque sensor 35 and a crank rotation angle detected by a crank FG36 to calculate the workload every unit time to continuously integrate to obtain the total workload. Then, the workload is converted into a calory value and the information of the integrated calory value is given to a display controller 43 by a serial transmission, wherein the calory value transmitted from the vehicle controller 31 is displayed on the display section 41. Then, the display is periodically updated to display on the display section the change in the calory consumption.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety and comfort by obtaining a stable static condition using an assistant drive function at the time of stopping on an inclined face.
SOLUTION: An inclination angle of a road on which a bicycle travels is calculated by using detection signals from an XY two-axis acceleration sensor 314. Steady torque for offsetting a downward direction generated to a bicycle stopping on the inclined face using a inclination angle detecting function is applied to an assist motor 51 so as to control the bicycle in a manner to easily stop. That is, when the road on which the bicycle stops is an inclined face such as a slope, tare weights of the bicycle and a driver act in the downward direction of the inclined face. Because the bicycle is naturally moved, such a need is caused that a user supports the bicycle by straddling legs, and brakes the bicycle. Torque is steadily applied in a direction for offsetting a downward direction by the tare weights of the bicycle and the driver on the inclined face so as to reduce a supporting force of the user, and improve the comfort of the user.

SOLUTION: The robot device is located on the position in contact with a ground surface of the leg part, and has one or more load sensors for detecting a reaction force generated when the leg part comes into contact with the ground surface, as an external force. The load sensor 10 has a diaphragm 11 having a pressure sensing part 11a, an operating body 14 to which the external force is applied, a driving body 17 forming a double structure with the operating body 14 and pressing the pressure sensing part 11a, and a elastic body 15 for transmitting the external force to the driving body 17 by displacing the elastic body 15 almost in proportion to the external force applied to the operating body 14. The operating body 14 has a stopper function for controlling the external force so as to abut on a thick part 11b of the diaphragm 11 and so that a pressing force of the driving body 17 is set to a value smaller than a prescribed threshold when the external force is applied to the operating body 14.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-density recording medium by alternately forming two circulating tracks whose data areas are on the land and the groove at each circulating track and using both the land and the groove as recording track. SOLUTION: Grooves GBs and lands LDs are formed so that they appear alternately at each circulation. The black portion of a service area ARs is a service pit and formed between recording/reproducing scanning loci SSPRs. The shaded portion of the data area ARd is the data track formed by a groove GB and unshaded portions are data tracks formed by lands LDs. Recording/ reproducing scanning by a laser scanning spot LSP is spirally performed in the solid arrow direction along the locus SSPR. By this, in comparison with the case where either one of the land LD and groove GB is used as data track, high density recording twice as high is realized.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a recording capacity by raising a track density in the diametrical direction of a disc while allowing the control of tracking. SOLUTION: In an address segment and a data segment, a servo area with a length of 24SCK (servo clock) is provided and a segment mark and a track mark are formed in the servo area by emboss working or the like. Marks 1 are formed at 11th and 12th positions and marks 2 at 16th and 17th positions. The marks 1 and 2 are arranged diametrically at a cycle of two tracks while being differentiated by 180 deg. in phase. Even tracks and odd tracks are identified based on a push/pull signal obtained by a division photo detector. Thus, an accurate control of tracking is accomplished even when the polarity of a tracking error signal is inverted between the even tracks and the odd tracks.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for controlling seeking shortened in seeking time. CONSTITUTION: A disk 1 is irradiated with a laser beam through an optical pickup 3, and the pickup 3 receives the reflected beam to output a regenerative signal, and a position sensor 4 extracts an address (present address) of a track which the optical pickup 3 is reproducing at the present time. A target speed generation part 8 obtains the target speed data for driving the optical pickup 3 from the address of a target track supplied from a target address supply terminal 15 and the present address. A target speed correction part 9 corrects the target speed data based on a speed error of a last seeking time stored in a speed error memory 12. A speed detection part 7 detects the moving speed of the optical pickup 3 from the present address to supply it to an adder 10. The adder 10 obtains the speed error from the corrected target speed data and the moving speed, and drives a driver 5 through a phase compensation part 11 based on the speed error to control the moving speed of the optical pickup 3.

Thus, the magnet 9 goes back and leaves from a current magneto-optical disk and approaches to a magneto-optical disk which is overwritten.
