Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the shape of a position regulating ramp which guides the read-write head in a hard disk drive of a dynamic loading/unloading system.
SOLUTION: The head actuator 6 is formed in a shape that its suspension 4 is articulated with the arm body 5 in the direction approaching the disk 2. The suspension 4 has a read-write head 3 at its end and a lift tab 12 disposed closer to its root than the the head 3. The position regulating ramp 7 has a slope 7a extending along the trajectory of the lift tab 12 which moves as the head actuator 6 turns. By inflecting the head actuators 6, the slope 7a for a surface of the disk 2 and the slope 7a for the other surface of the disk 2 can be formed in one body and disposed outside the disk 2.

SOLUTION: This disk storage device is provided with a disk information recording medium 18, a spindle motor for rotating the information recording medium, a head 21 for writing information on the information recording medium and reading the written information, an actuator 20 on which the head 20 is mounted and which is moved on the information recording medium, and a casing formed to be a hollow box having an internal space by a wedge recessed casing 12 and a lid member 14 for covering the casing, for housing the components. This disk storage device is adapted to write information in the information recording medium, and reading the written information. An electric circuit board 52 provided with a circuit for driving/controlling/signal-processing the disk storage device, and an I/O circuit or the like for transferring information/signal with an external unit is disposed in the casing by being bent in a U shape at the board middle part, and sandwiching the disk between upper and lower sides.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the ingress of dust into the bearing means of a direct bearing motor. SOLUTION: A plurality of balls 21 are placed between a non-rotatable center shaft 14, one end of which is secured on an enclosure 2 and a rotor member 16 rotatably supported around the center shaft to form a bearing means 22 for a direct bearing motor 5. The direct bearing motor 5 is provided with a rotor magnet 20 secured on the rotor member and a stator member 23 and a stator coil 24 secured on the enclosure and it causes the rotor member to rotate by means of an electromagnet circuit formed between the rotor magnet and the stator coil. A fixed cover member 25 is secured at the other end of the center shaft, and the cover member is placed close to the other end of the rotor member with a minute slight gap 26 in-between.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dust, etc., produced by driving a mechanism part from sticking to a recording medium disk by bringing a motor case into contact with a lower surface of a partition wall and making the closed state of a communicative hole with the motor case. SOLUTION: An upper end part of a center shaft 24 is inserted into a positioning hole 34 provided in a lower surface of a supported part 33, while a positioning surface 28a is brought into contact with the lower surface of the supported part 33, and the supported part 33 is attracted by a magnet 29 to position and support a recording medium disk 32. Moreover, a spindle motor 14 is lifted to make the recording medium disk 32 the state of floating from a bottom surface in a case 31, and also an outer circumferential wall 15a of the motor case 15 is brought into a part in a position of surrounding the whole circumference of an opening periphery of the communicative hole 9 out of the lower surface of the partition wall 3 via a seal member 19. Consequently, dust, etc., in a driving mechanism system disposing part 6 are never sucked into a cartridge 4.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent, for example, dust and dirt from entering a mounting part when a cartridge is not mounted by providing a blocking means for blocking a communication hole in conjunction with the unloading operation of the cartridge being mounted to a cartridge-mounting part. SOLUTION: When the rotary part of a spindle motor 20 rotates, a storage disk 34 in a cartridge 4 is rotated, a head-traveling mechanism 12 arranged behind a cartridge-mounting part 5 is rotated, and the head part 19 is opposed to a storage disk 34. Also, when the cartridge 4 mounted to the cartridge- mounting part 5 is unloaded while an engagement piece 15 of a blocking means 11 is pressed, the engagement piece 15 stops being pressed against the cartridge 4, the blocking means 11 is moved toward the front by a resilient means that is not shown here, and a main part 13 blocks a communication hole 9 of a screening wall 3. A spindle motor 20 further rises even after a part 35 to be supported of the storage disk 34 is supported by a disk support part.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent a cartridge body from touching a disc or a center core even when the position of cartridge body is shifted due to vibration or impact. CONSTITUTION: The gap generated between a holding means and a locking means therefor when a disc cartridge 30 is held at a recording/reproducing position, i.e., the maximum possible positional shift D2 of a cartridge body 31, is set smaller than the gap D3 between the outer circumferential surface of a center core 33 and a cartridge body 31, and the gap D4 between the outer circumferential surface of a disc 32 and the cartridge body 31 (D4>D3>D2). In other words, the cartridge body 31 can be prevented from touching the center core 33 or the disc 32 by simply determining the relative relationship of gaps D2, D3, D4 at respective parts without requiring strict control of machining accuracy at each part. Since additional mechanism for securing the cartridge body is not required, the structure is simplified resulting in the reduction of the cost and size.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To simplify a disk cartridge drawing and ejecting mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A hook pin 27 capable of restraining in a recessed groove 42 for positioning a disk cartridge 30 is fitted to a rotary link 48. By vertically moving the hook pin 27, the disk cartridge 30 is drawn into or ejected from a disk device main body. The rotary link 48 is freely rotatably fitted to a rotary shaft 49 of a chassis 11. A free end 53B of a coil spring 53 is restrained on a restraining piece 52 of the rotary link 48. A fixed end 53A of the coil spring 53 is restrained on a restraining pin 54 of the chassis 11. When the rotary link 48 is rotated by a prescribed angle, a straight line connecting the fixed end 53A and the free end 53B of the coil spring 53 is disposed to the side opposite to the previous state as against a straight line connecting the rotary center of the rotary link 48 and the fixed end 53A. Consequently, energizing force of the coil spring 53 to be worked on the rotary link 48 is reversed.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent damage in an attaching/detaching part and a disk by providing a stopper movable to each position restricting a turning actuator to a stop position when not using, releasing the restriction when using and limiting the turning to the inside. CONSTITUTION: The turning actuator (Ac) 24 is provided with an arm 24c turning around a vertical axis 24d by a voice coil motor 24e and an elastic member 24b connected to it. A head slider 24a supported on the tip of the member 24b is pressed on the magnetic disk 23 surface rotating by a spindle motor 22 by the member 24b, and is floated by an air flow flowing into the bottom surface. Then, a magnetic head 28 records/reproduces on/from the disk 23, and though an inside stopper 26 exists in a second position in the direction of P, it moves to a first position when not using. Accordingly, the Ac 24 runs onto a ramp 25 having a slope, and is fixed by the inside, an outside stoppers 26, 27. Thus, the damage in the attaching/detaching part and the disk due to the attaching/detaching of a cartridge of the attaching/detaching part of a main body are prevented.

A prescribed irregular pattern by the kind of the disk is formed on an A surface being one side surface of the disk beforehand, and the irregular pattern is read out through the decoder 37, and the kind of the disk shown by the irregular pattern is recognized by an identification circuit 40, and the recognized kind of the disk is stored in a RAM 33, and an access control according to the kind of the disk is performed.
