Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the elution processing of a fibrous structure without forming waste fluid including highly concentrated eluate by treating a fibrous structure comprising fibers including a compound soluble in supercritical fluid or its resemblance with the above fluid. SOLUTION: The purpose of this invention is achieved by treating a polyester- based fibrous structure including fibers blended with a compound (e.g. polypropylene glycol, polycarbonate or their derivative) soluble in supercritical fluid or its resemblance (e.g. carbon dioxide) with the above fluid so as to elute at least part of the compound. The fibrous structure may include sheath- core type fibers where the above compound is placed in their core part or sheath one, or sea-island type fibers where the above compound is placed in their sea part or island one, instead of the above fibers.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hollow fiber structure that has a returnable and excellent moisture absorption property and flexible fabric hand and to provide its production. SOLUTION: This hollow fiber has a hollow part (4) as well as a slit (5) of 5 μm width, communicating from the fiber surface to the hollow part (4) in the longitudinal direction of the fiber and the hollow part has a water-soluble polymer. The hollow fiber that has the slit communicating from the fiber surface to the hollow part and extending in the longitudinal direction of the fiber is treated with a water-soluble monomer under a reduced pressure to fill the hollow part with the water-soluble monomer and the monomer is polymerized in the hollow part of the hollow fiber thereby obtaining the objective fiber structure.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester fiber structure having flame retardance, fungicidal properties and water repellency, by providing a polyester fiber structure with a specific phosphazene compound. a benzimidazole based compound and a polyfluoroalkyl group-containing urethane-based compound. SOLUTION: A polyester fiber structure is treated in a dyeing bath containing 5.0-20% owf calculated as a solid content of a straight-chain or cyclic phosphazene compound of formula I (X1 to X3 and Y1 to Y3 are each amino or phenoxy) or formula II (X1 to X4 and Y1 to Y4 are each amino or phenoxy) containing two or more total phenoxy groups in the bath ratio of 1:5 to 1:100 at >=100 deg.C or the polyester fiber structure is immersed in a dispersion containing the phosphazene compound, the liquid is removed and the structure is dried and subjected to an exhaustion treatment in an atmosphere at >=150 deg.C. Then the structure is provided with a mixed aqueous solution containing 0.1-10% owf of a benzimidazole-based compound and 0.1-10% owf of a polyfluoroalkyl group-containing urethane-based compound, heat-treated and stuck with these compounds.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable various kinds of durable functional processings such as moisture absorption, water absorption, flame retardancy, water repellecy, high color development and high light resistance by grafting a radically polymerizable monomer to a fiber structure in the presence of a specific organic peroxide composite material as a graft polymerization initiator. SOLUTION: This organic peroxide composite material is obtained by encapsulating an organic peroxide such as benzoylperoxide with a two molecular vesicle formed from an amphiphilic compound having a 8-18C long chain alkyl group, such as didodecyldimethylammonium bromide, or with a micelle formed from a perfluoroalkylsulfonic acid salt in a molar ratio of 0.1-5. A radically polymerizable monomer such as a hydrophilic monomer, e.g. (meth)acrylic acid, or a hydroxyl group-having monomer, e.g. 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, is graft- polymerized to a fiber structure containing polyester fibers in the presence of the prepared composite material as a graft polymerization initiator in a treating liquid at a temperature of from 20 deg.C to below 140 deg.C.
