    Abstract: Provided is a method for removing, during a step for producing a sugar solution, a fermentation inhibiting substance, which is generated during a step for producing sugar from a cellulose-containing biomass. Also provided is a method for steadily generating a pure sugar solution, which has an extremely low content of a fermentation inhibiting substance, over a long period of time. Specifically, disclosed is a method for producing a pure sugar solution, which uses a cellulose-containing biomass as the starting material and which involves: a step (1) for producing a sugar solution by subjecting a cellulose-containing biomass to decomposition treatment; a step (2) for subjecting the sugar solution obtained in step (1) to coagulation treatment; a step (3) for filtering the sugar solution obtained in step (2) by means of a microfiltration membrane and/or an ultra-filtration membrane, and for collecting the sugar solution from the permeate side; and a step (4) for filtering the sugar solution obtained in step (3) by means of a nano-filtration membrane and/or a reverse osmosis membrane, for collecting the pure sugar solution from the non-permeate side, and for removing a fermentation inhibiting substance from the permeate side.

    Abstract: A fluororesin polymer separation membrane excelling in not only separatio n characteristics, water permeation performance, chemical strength (especial ly chemical resistance) and physical strength but also stain resistance; and a process for producing the same. There is provided a fluororesin polymer s eparation membrane comprising a layer of three-dimensional network structure and a layer of spherical structure, wherein the layer of three-dimensional network structure is composed of a fluororesin polymer composition containin g a hydrophilic polymer, the hydrophilic polymer being a substantially water -insoluble hydrophilic polymer containing at least one member selected from among cellulose ester, fatty acid vinyl ester, vinylpyrrolidone, ethylene ox ide and propylene oxide as a polymerization component. This polymer separati on membrane can be used as a filtration membrane for water treatment, separa tor for battery, charged membrane, membrane for fuel cell, filtration membra ne for blood purification, etc.

    Abstract: The invention provides a polymer separation membrane that is excellent in separating characteristics, a permeating ability, a chemical strength (particularly chemical resistance) and a physical strength, and also excellent in a stain resistance, and a producing method therefor. The fluorinated resin-type polymer separation membrane includes a layer having a three-dimensional network structure, and a layer having a spherical structure, wherein the layer of three-dimensional network structure is formed by a fluorinated resin-type polymer composition containing a hydrophilic polymer, and the hydrophilic polymer is a substantially water-insoluble hydrophilic polymer containing at least one of a cellulose ester, an aliphatic vinyl ester, vinylpyrrolidone, ethylene oxide and propylene oxide as a polymerization component. The polymer separation membrane is applicable as a filtration membrane for water treatment, a battery separator, a charged membrane, a fuel cell membrane or a blood cleaning filtration membrane.
