Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve moisture resistance and adhesion at the time of the coating of a coating agent, etc., by bringing the rate of change of surface roughness (Ra) before and after dipping in a solvent in at least one surface to 10-300%. CONSTITUTION:The rate of change of surface roughness (Ra) before and after dipping in a solvent in at least one surface is made 10-300%. Adhesion and moisture resistance are deteriorated when the rate of change of the surface roughness is too low, and adhesion is lowered, gloss at the time of printing is reduced and appearance is often damaged when the rate of the change is too high. Alcohols such as methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, etc., ketones such as acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, etc., halogens such as trichloroethane, fluorocarbon etc,, petroleums, aromatic groups such as benzene, toluene, etc., esters such as ethyl acetate, etc., are exampled as a solvent. Accordingly, a polyester film, which has excellent adhesive properties with printing ink or a coating agent and adhesion of which is not lowered even under high humidity particularly, is acquired.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a porous polypropylene film having a high optical density and excellent shielding property, printability, etc., by mixing a crystalline polypropylene containing a beta-crystal nucleator with an incompatible thermoplastic resin of specified properties in a specified mixing ratio, melt-molding the mixture and orienting the obtained film. CONSTITUTION:50 to 85wt.% crystalline polypropylene containing a beta-crystal nucleator (e.g. gamma-quinacridone) is mixed with 50 to 15wt.% thermoplastic resin being incompatible with polypropylene and having a melting crystallization temperature >=140 deg.C and a weight-average mol.wt. to number-average mol.wt. ratio and an optical density >=0.3 is obtained. This film can be desirably used as various printing papers, labels, etc.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a microporous polyolefin film with a surface profile which enables a sufficiently uniform contact between an electrode and a separator, by specifying the surface pore diameter, porosity, breaking strength and average surface roughness of the film. CONSTITUTION:A microporous polyolefin film having a surface-pore diameter of 0.05-1mum and a porosity of 30-90%, wherein the ratio (Sm/St) of the max. breaking strength (Sm) to the breaking strength (St) in the direction vertical to that of the max. breaking strength is 1.5-6, and an average surface roughness (Ra) of at least one side is 0.2mum or less. Preferable polyolefins are high-density polyethylene and polypropylene because of their excellent solvent resistance and mechanical properties. A preferable pore structure of the microporous film is one in which pores with an elliptic appearance are distributed randomly in the section parallel to the direction of the max. breaking strength.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a film endure collapse even when an anode with a roughened surface is pushed against it when it is used as an electrolyte separator of, e.g., an electrolytic capacitor and to prevent an increase in a short circuit ratio or in an equivalent series resistance, by optimizing the mean pore diameter, porosity and Young's modulus of compression of a polyolefin film. CONSTITUTION:This microporous polyolefin film has a mean pore diameter of 0.05-5mum, a porosity of 50-85% and a Young's modulus of compression of 0.2kg/mm or above. As said polyolefin, polypropylene of an isotactic index of 93% or above and an intrinsic viscosity of 1.2-3.3dl/g is desirable. A polypropylene having a melt crystallization temperature of 106 deg.C or above is particularly desirable among such polypropylenes.
