    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title structure removing silt, etc., on the surface layer part by tide and ocean current and making an environment suitable for growth of benthos by setting block materials on the bottom of the sea and increasing flow velocity of tide or coean current between the block materials and the surface layer part on the bottom of the sea. CONSTITUTION:A pair of side walls (e.g. side walls made of steel material) 10 and 10a equipped with a cleaning and digging preventing member 14 at the bottom are integrated with a V-shaped resistant plate (e.g. plate made of film material) 12 to form a block material B1. The block material is laid at given intervals on the bottom of the sea to make the walls 10 vertical, flow velocity of tide or ocean current in the X direction is increased at the under surface side of the resist plate 12 and relatively large particles such as sand suitable for growth of benthos are left at the under surface part to give the aimed structure.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an underwater structure full of flexibility and excellent in shellfish-attachment-proof property, by using polytetrafluoroethylenic fibers or polyethylenic fibers, for a surface section coming in contact with the water of the underwater structure of a rope, a floating wave dissipation bank, a gate, or the like. CONSTITUTION:A section coming in contact with the water of the underwater structure of a finishing rope, a mooring rope, a surface layer or intermediate layer floating fish gathering place, a floating wave dissipation bank, a fishing net, a marine station or a dam, the gate of an irrigation canal, or the like is composed of alga-proof materials. The alga-proof materials are composed of polytetrafluoroethylenic fibers and/or polyethylene system fibers. As a result, various underwater structures having flexibility and also shellfish-attachment- proof property can be obtained.
