Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled recording medium which has the small coercive force in the film thickness direction, does not generate cracks and can maintain the large magnetic anisotropy in the film thickness direction by incorporating cobalt and nickel into a perpendicularly magnetized film in such a manner that the number of atom ratio thereof is within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:The number of atom ratio of the cobalt and nickel incorporated into the perpendicularly magnetized film is within a 55:45-40:60 range. The fine structure of the film is distinct if a gas having low chemical activity is introduced therein, but the coercive force increases if the fine structure is distinct. The generation of such fine structure is adequately suppressed by adding the nickel at a relatively high ratio to the film up to the 55:45-40:60 range of the number atom ratio of the cobalt and nickel. Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a vertical magnetic recording medium without fluctuation in a friction coefficient with excellent wear resistance by forming discontinuous minute cracks to the surface of a magnetic layer or a protection layer. CONSTITUTION:Discontinuous cracks 100-1,000Angstrom in width, 0.1-5mum in length and >=0.01pc/mum in number, preferably 0.1-30pcs./mum are provided on the surface of a magnetic layer of a vertical magnetic recording medium provided with a base end the magnetic layer mainly comprising a cobalt having the magnetic anisotropy in the vertical direction to the base face and a cobalt oxide. When the width of the cracks exceeds 1,000Angstrom , the wear resistance of the vertical magnetic recording medium is deteriorated. When the width of the cracks is , and the number of cracks is preferably >=0.1pc/mum .

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled recording medium without a decrease in magnetic anisotropy in the direction vertical to the surface of a substrate even in a high- temp. atmosphere and without a decrease in coercive force in the vertical direction by forming a ferromagnetic layer, having an easy magnetization axis vertival to the surface of the substrate and consisting essentially of one kind of iron compd., on the substrate. CONSTITUTION:A ferromagnetic layer, having an easy magnetization axis vertical to the surface of a substrate and consisting essentially of iron and >=1 kind of iron compds. selected from a group of iron oxide, iron hydroxide, iron nitride, iron sulfide, and iron carbonate, is formed on the substrate. And 90-30%, by atom, iron and 10-70% element other than iron are preferably used to increase the magnetic characteristics in the vertical direction. And the magnetic characteristics in the vertical direction asre improved by the incorporation of iron oxide among other iron compds. In this case, 80-50%, by atom, iron and 20- 50% oxygen are more preferably incorporated into the ferromagnetic layer.

The thickness from the outside face of the substrate to the outside face of the sealing plate is 2 mm or below, the thickness of the adhesive is 0.1 mm or below, and the change quantity of the thickness is 50 μm or below in the organic EL device.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a luminescent element with less leak pixel, having a advantageous manufacturing cost and manufacturing process by forming a spacer containing resin on a bard followed by curing. SOLUTION: Preferably, curing is conducted by ultraviolet ray irradiation treatment and/or heat treatment, and after curing of the spacer, a board is cleaned. As the spacer, polyimide resin, novolak resin, epoxy resin, polyester resin, acrylic resin and others are used. When ultraviolet ray is used, an optimum wavelength is to be selected according to resin constituting the spacer, and usually it is 100-450 nm. As a light source, a quartz mercury lamp, carbon arc lamp, or rare gas discharge is used. In board cleaning, an organic solvent such as acetone, isopropyl alcohol, methanol; an alkali cleaning solution; or surfactant is appropriately selected.

SOLUTION: A semiconductive substrate is fixed to a grinding head, and the substrate is pushed against by an abrasive layer having a micro-rubber A hardness of 70 deg. or more and fixed to an abrasive surface plate via a cushion layer having a volume modulus of 600 kg/cm2 or more and a compression elastic modulus of 10 kg/cm2 or more and 140 kg/cm2 or less. The substrate is ground by rotating the head or the surface plate or both of them in the condition where the warping or irregularities of the substrate itself is absorbed into the cushion layer.
