Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically identifying an unallowable variable content document in a pair of variable content documents. SOLUTION: A pair of variable content documents are generated by using a previously designed template having a desired layout and quality, a pair of predetermined characteristics are measured on each of a pair of variable content documents, a pair of characteristics measured on each of a pair of variable content documents are quantified, and the quantified quality result of each of a pair of variable content documents is generated. When the quantified quality result of the variable content document is beyond the predetermined value range, the variable content document is identified as that having unallowable quality. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for animated viewing of a three-dimensional image of a document either in a final stage or at several stages of the production of the document regarding a system and a method for document production visualization (DPV). SOLUTION: The DPV is composed of an object model 110 that comprehends things in a printing domain, graphic rendering technology 120 that supports existing standards and components, a validation model 130 that knows how to test for validity of jobs and user operations and an integration with external services. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate print calibration with respect to a print mediator. SOLUTION: The print mediator includes: an interface module for acquiring color rendering information for a print queue of the printing infrastructure; and a first browsing application for generating the visual display of the object document of print on the basis of the color rendering information received from the interface module, detecting problems relating to color rendering by the printing infrastructure, proposing correction, displaying the visual display on a first display, receiving annotations from a first user for the document, and receiving the determination of the first user for the proposed correction. At least one of the first browsing application and a second browsing application can communicate with the interface module so that a second user can browse a document on a second display after the document is transmitted to the interface module. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing adopting various technologies compatible with needs of various images and in which the technologies smoothly cope with the needs of a given image. SOLUTION: Pixels of an image are investigated to obtain a location of pixels in a color gamut of a 1st device, a center position of the pixels is decided, the pixel at the center position is mapped, this pixel is handled as a pictorial pixel and mapped with a color gamut of a 2nd device through emulation conversion. When the pixel is not placed in the center, whether or not a required pixel represents a primary color is decided. When the pixel represents the primary color, the pixel is mapped with the color gamut of the 2nd device through identity transformation, and the primary color is mapped with the primary color of a version of the destination (2nd) device without revising the pixel value.
