PURPOSE: A multilayer articulating paper is provided to enable a dentist or dental technician to confirm patient's teeth state more accurately and easily. CONSTITUTION: A multilayer articulating paper includes: a multi color layer(2) which is formed on the sheet paper(1). The colors are different from one another. The color layer is manufactured into a rectangular mold frame by adding the minute particle to an adhesive, adding a food dye to the mixture, and putting them into a frame. The minute particle includes celluloid particle, starch granule or starch.

A method of making a dental restoration has the step of providing a precursor of the dental restoration. The dental restoration has at least a first and a second surface portion which are delimited by a physical boundary structure. The method further has the steps of applying a first coloring solution associated with the first surface portion onto the first surface portion, sintering the dental restoration precursor, and removing the physical boundary structure.

A method and system for improving dental esthetics. Specifically, the method includes providing a polymeric shell dental appliance of a type that is removably placeable over a patient's dentition. The polymeric shell dental appliance comprises a concave trough which conforms to at least one tooth when placed over the patient's dentition. In addition, the method includes changing a visual appearance of a segment of the polymeric shell dental appliance. The visual appearance of the segment is changed by applying a thin film to a surface of the segment. In particular, the segment is disposed in a location corresponding to a portion of the patient's dentition that is to be esthetically improved.

A visible coding of components of an articulator apparatus that mount maxillary and mandible casts indicates the relative correspondence between post-treatment goals and the present locations of a person's teeth and jaws. From another aspect, the visible coding indicates at least a direction, and preferably, a direction and a distance, which a person's teeth and/or jaws must be moved to achieve the goals.

Output attachments to an electromagnetic-energy outputting device are coded using colors, topography, or combinations of color and topography. The output attachments, which are removable and interchangeable, may be interchanged for purposes of performing particular surgical or other cutting procedures. Instructions provided to a user refer to colors or other coded indicators in order to provide rapid and reliable switching of output attachments.

Die Erfindung betrifft Verfahren und Vorrichtungen zur Herstellung von Zahnersatzteilen, mit digitaler Erfassung von Oberflächendaten eines Restzahnbereichs, dreidimensionaler Gestaltung wenigstens eines Formteils, insbesondere eines Zahnersatzteils für den Restzahnbereich unter Einbeziehung der erfassten Oberflächendaten des Restzahnbereichs und Erstellung entsprechen der Formdaten, und teilweiser oder kompletter Herstellung des wenigstens einen Zahnersatzteiles auf der Basis der Oberflächendaten und Formdaten, wobei einer oder mehrere der nachfolgenden Aspekte berücksichtigt wird: dass eine dreidimensionale Gestaltung von Stegkonstruktionen zwischen Zahnpfeilern und Erstellung ent sprechender Formdaten erfolgt, dass Oberflächendaten eines dreidimensionalen Bissabdruckes, einseitig, an zwei Seiten (beidseitig) oder mehrseitig erfasst werden, dass die Oberflächendaten graphisch dargestellt werden, dass an der graphischen Darstellung der Oberflächendaten wenigstens eine Markierung angebracht wird, und dass Formdaten für ein Zahnersatzteil basierend auf den Oberflächendaten unter Einbeziehung der Markierung in der graphischen Darstellung der Oberflächendaten konstruiert werden, dass Primärkronen mittels 3+1 oder angestellter Achsenfrästechnik gefertigt werden, dass durch „Bergauf-/Bergabfräsen“ eine optimierte Ausrichtung eines Fräsrohlings zu dem zu fräsenden Teil erfolgt, und/oder dass zum Scannen von Modellierwachsen ein Modellierwachs mit mindestens 1/3 bis 4/5 Gewichtsanteilen von Zirkonoxidpulver verwendet wird.
