The disclosure also pertains to a fluid filter with filter media positioned within a filter cartridge by an end cap with extending ribs welded to one of the two shells which compose the filter cartridge.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case structure of a fluid pressure device which enables the case to be connected with a body certainly and easily and also, the interior of the case to be visually recognized more certainly and easily compared with conventional case structures, and thus, enables the upgrading of the case durability to be ensured.SOLUTION: The case structure of the fluid pressure device includes a filter 12 which constitutes a fluid pressure unit 10, and this filter 12 comprises a first body 20, a case unit 22 connected with the lower part of the first body 20, and a filter unit 24 accommodated inside the case unit 22. In addition, the case unit 22 comprises an outer case 40 of a bottomed cylindrical shape made of a transparent material with permeability and an inner case 42 to be inserted into the interior of the outer case 40. The case unit 22 is introduced into a fitting hole 36 which is opened in the lower part of the first body 20, and then is rotated. By so doing, a projecting part 58 and a retaining wall 56 arranged on the outer circumferential surface of the case unit 22, are fitted into a support part 38 arranged in the fitting hole 36. As a result, both the projecting part 58 and the retaining wall 56 are placed in a connected state.

Abstract: Provided are filtration devices for purifying fluids from bioprocess applications and processes for using the same. The fluid filter elements or cells and fluid filter assemblies or capsules minimize upstream and residual volumes by the use of substantially flat interior surfaces. Desired pressure ratings are also met without the use of external equipment. Such capsules and assemblies can be disposable. The cells and capsules are in particular suitable for intermediate filtration volumes (150-2500 cm 2 effective filtration area (EFA)) of biopharmaceutical processes. One or more of the following features are also provided by these cells and capsules: ergonomic connections, stand alone device with desired pressure rating, offer a small footprint when running in series or parallel, ability to monitor fluid level during operation, provide various EFA sizes to allow for use with minimal fluid volumes, and offer an integral seal between clean and dirty process fluid streams.
