Abstract: A chemical dispensing assembly having a base member, a flow chamber, a chemical chamber and a dispensing control conduit, wherein water or other liquid flows through the base member, into the flow chamber, through the dispensing control conduit and out the base member, wherein a small amount of saturated solution retained within the chemical chamber is drawn into the water flow, the chemical chamber being connected below the flow chamber and the volume of the chemical chamber being greater than the volume of the flow chamber. Preferably, the flow chamber is connected to the base member with a bayonet-type connection mechanism, and keys and key slots are provided such that only dedicated flow chambers can be connected to the base member.

Abstract: A low-turbulent aspirating type aerator, introduced into a body of liquid, comprising of: a gas conveyance tube having a gas inlet end and a gas outlet end; a gas-liquid mixture chamber incorporating; an impeller affixed to a rotatable shaft, at the least one gas intake opening and at the least one gas-liquid discharge opening at or near bottom end of gas-liquid mixture chamber.Rotation of the impeller creates a low-pressure zone (vacuum) allowing gas conveyed via gas conveyance tube to come into contact with rotating impeller forming a gas-liquid mixture at the impeller interface wherein bubbles are formed. Gas-liquid mixture chamber confines gas bubbles thereby allowing the action of impeller and liquid shearing force to produce and discharge micro-sized gas bubbles of predominantly less than 0.85 millimeters. The micro-sized gas bubbles generated have an long residence or gas hold up time within the body of liquid, wherein gas within bubble can, based on a concentration gradient, diffuse into liquid thereby providing the capacity to provide a high gas (oxygen) transfer rate.

Abstract: A groundwater decontamination system includes a decontamination unit adapted to be lowered down through a non-pumping well into an aquifer containing contaminated water. The unit can also be raised up and out of the non-pumping well for cleaning, servicing or replacement. The decontamination unit includes a porous outer tube with a plurality of holes through which contaminated water flows, and a porous inner tube with a plurality of holes through which flows in-flowing contaminated water flowing through outer tube. A contaminant removing reactive barrier material is disposed within the inner tube for removing on contact contaminants from the in flowing water. A flow directing arrangement, preferably in the form of flow directing fins, directs in-flowing water from the holes in the outer tube to the holes in the inner tube (i.e., provider of the channeling of the ground water into the reactive barrier material). The system can monitor the contaminant removal, as well as other conditions of the groundwater.

Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide a water softener for softening hard water to produce soft water. This water softener is easily and simply connected to existing hot and cold water supply pipes, and installed proximately to a wall. In this water softener, hot and cold soft water tanks (1A, 1B), each having ion exchange resin (2), are installed at the tops of hot and cold valve housings (10A, 10B) such that the tanks are movable forward and backward while maintaining their vertical positions.
