냉각성 및 윤활성이 뛰어나며, 환경에 악영향을 미치게 하지 않는 금속가공용수 혹은 조성물이다. 불소이온, 탄산수소이온, 및 규소로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 1종이상 및 나트륨이온을 포함하고, pH 6.0 ∼ 10으로 조정한 물을 그대로 금속가공용수로서 사용하거나, 이 금속가공용수에 방청제등의 첨가물을 혼합시켜 조성물을 조정하고, 절삭유의 대신으로 사용한다.
Abstract:
A lubricant is provided for use in hot working such as cross-roll rolling of a seamless steel pipe. It effectively reduces the friction coefficient between the working tools and the material under the hot work, thus extending the lives of the tools. The lubricant contains: (A) from about 10 to about 60 wt% of alkali silicate; (B) from about 1 to about 20 wt% of silane coupling agent; (C) from about 0.1 to about 5.0 wt% of at least one kind of alkali compound selected from a group consisting of an alkali hydroxide, an alkali carbonate, an alkali borate and an alkali salt of mineral acid; and (D) from about 30 to about 70 wt% of water. Alternatively, the lubricant contains: (A) from about 10 to about 60 wt% of alkali silicate; (B) from about 1 to about 20 wt% of silane coupling agent; (C) from about 0.1 to about 5.0 wt% of at least one kind of alkali compound selected from a group consisting of an alkali hydroxide, an alkali carbonate, an alkali borate and an alkali salt of mineral acid; (D) from about 5 to about 50 wt% of water; (E) from about 10 to about 60 wt% of iron oxide; and (F) from about 0.1 to about 5.0 wt% of at least one additive selected from a group consisting of a dispersant and a thickening agent.

The present invention provides a grease composition which is excellent in peel resistance, not to mention lubricity, as compared with the prior art products. A novel grease composition for rolling bearing is provided, comprising a base oil, an extender, an inorganic compound-based filler having an average particle diameter of not more than 2 mum and zinc dithiocarbamate.

PURPOSE: The titled lubricant, prepared by mixing a phosphoric acid (salt) with boric acid (salt), an alkaline metallic salt and a layered silicate in a specific proportion, and having improved lubricity and releasability without causing any smoking or dusting even in a hot state. CONSTITUTION: A lubricant prepared by mixing (A) a water-soluble glass (powder) containing (a) 40W55mol%, expressed in terms of P 2 O 5 , phosphoric acid (salt) (b) 9mol% or less, expressed in terms of B 2 O 3 , one or more salt selected from carbonates nitrates, sulfates and hydroxides of an alkaline metal (M) with (B) ususally 10W60wt% layered silicate, e.g. mica. The invention is a liquid composition of matter useful as a metalworking lubricant. The composition comprises a primary lubricity component, such as a polyether or polyether ester, and dissolved salts of carboxylic acids. The composition preferably contains not more than 0.2 percent of any element except carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, alkaline earth metals, alkali metals, inorganically bonded halogens, inorganically bonded nitrogen, inorganically bonded sulfur, and inorganically bonded phosphorus.

The invention relates to the use of at least one selected polyhydroxy compound in lubricant formulations and the use of chain lubricants which contain at least 20 percent by weight of a selected polyhydroxy compound, for reducing the friction between transported goods and transport installations. The invention also relates to a lubricant which contains further additives in addition to the polyhydroxy compounds.

Waterborne lubricants comprising: (A) water-soluble inorganic salt; (B) homogeneously dispersed solid lubricant; (C) at least one homogeneously emulsified substance selected from mineral oils, animal and plant oils and fats, and synthetic oils; (D) surfactant; and (E) water, in which the weight ratio (B)/(A) is from 0.05:1 to 2:1 and the weight ratio {C/(A + B)} is from 0.05:1 to 1:1, provide a one-step, highly lubricating waterborne lubricant for use in the cold plastic working of metals. This waterborne lubricant can replace the conversion coating treatment (phosphate, oxalate, etc.) + reactive soap treatment combined lubrication system now in general use and is free of the environmental issues associated with the combined lubrication system, provides for facile coating removal, and is not subject to the decline in seizure resistance caused by nonuniform add-on when large numbers of workpieces are treated together by immersion.
