Abstract: A floor panel includes male and female coupling means that are formed by at least one proximal groove that opens onto a lower face or upper face, respectively, of the panel and by a distal flexible tongue that extends from the end of the edge of the panel towards the lower face or upper face, respectively. The tongue has a proximal wall inclined at an angle with respect to a vertical plane towards the bottom and the outside of the panel and towards the top and the outside of the panel, respectively. The tongue of at least one of the male coupling means or female coupling means has a distal wall that includes, at least, a protrusion or a notch that is able to engage with a notch or a protrusion formed in or on a proximal wall of the proximal groove of the corresponding female coupling means or male coupling means so as to form an end stop, avoiding vertical movement of a panel with respect to an adjacent panel. The flexible tongue of the female coupling means comprises a chamfered part that forms an angle of between 2° and 20° with respect to the main plane of the panel.

Abstract: A method of producing floor panels is disclosed. The method includes the steps of separating a sheet formed surface material into surface strips and gluing said surface strips to a core with a space between the surface strips. A method of producing floor panels, wherein the method includes the steps of: separating a sheet formed surface layer material into surface strips; and gluing the surface strips to a sheet of core material to be cut into a plurality of floor panels, and providing a space between the surface strips, and cutting the sheet of core material, at the space, into at least two individual floor panels, forming a mechanical locking system in the sheet of core material at the space.

Vertically active locking surfaces, where they cooperate in the coupled condition of two of such floor panels, define a tangent line which is horizontal or does not deviate more than 50 degrees from the horizontal. The locking surfaces are situated closer to the upper side of the first substrate layer than to the lower side of the first substrate layer.

Abstract: Mounting brackets used for mounting decorative panels to walls is provided. The mounting brackets may each include a substantially planar body having a front surface, a rear surface, a top end and a bottom end forming a height in between, and a first end and a second end, forming a length in between. The mounting brackets further include at least one hook rail protruding from the front surface of the body at an angle relative to the front surface. The hook rail runs along at least a portion of the length of the body. A hook rail of a first bracket interlocks with a hook rail of a second bracket when the second bracket is disposed in an upside position relative to the first bracket.

Abstract: A slidable constructing plate comprises a protrusion and a notch on its peripheral surfaces. The protrusion is corresponding in shape to the notch. Furthermore, one groove is recessed between the top surface of the plate and the protrusion. Another groove is recessed between the bottom surface of the plate and the protrusion. One rib protrudes between the top surface and the notch, and another rib protrudes between the bottom surface and the notch. The grooves are corresponding in shape to the ribs. Two adjacent slidable constructing plates can be connected and fixed by mutual sliding through the protrusion sliding into the notch and the ribs sliding into the grooves. Slidable structures are provided to connect two adjacent slidable constructing plates to easily and firmly construct diversified products such as floors, ceilings, cabinets, and drywalls.

Abstract: A novel planking system utilizing an inventive groove design is provided. The novel groove is defined by two opposing side walls and a groove end wall. The groove side walls present two generally opposed tongue-engaging projections that automatically provide a uniform space between planks during installation, and accommodate expansion of the planks after installation by breaking away when force is exerted on the projections by an adjacent plank. The present invention is also concerned with a combination of planks having an inventive tongue-and-groove configuration, as well as inventive methods of assembling planks to accommodate the expansion and contraction of the assembled planks after installation.
