    Abstract: A passenger cabin for an aerial cable railway or the like is constructed from outwardly convex panels connected at their adjoining edges by hollow profile sections. One sidewall of the cabin is equipped with a door. Sensing members of the cabin engage control members of the cable railway stations and transmit a control motion to a door actuation mechanism within the floor construction of the cabin. A crank operates a rocker arm which drives two connecting rods. Racks arranged on the connecting rods drive sector gears mounted on the cabin and cause pivot arms connected with each leaf of the door to pivot. The pivot arms cause the doors to translate along and pivot conjointly with guide rails hinged at their common center. The door leaves can therefore be flush with the sidewall of the cabin in the closed position and require a minimum of space in opening.

    Abstract: A system consisting of a door closure and door hanger which are integrated to achieve improved operation and simple construction and particularly characterized by a single action pneumatic cylinder and an internal return spring coiled around the piston rod to achieve pneumatic opening of the sliding doors and spring closing of the latter respectively in combination with novel track units featuring removing the load on the balls when the doors are in closed position and shorter track units less subject to longitudinal deflection of the passenger vehicle. The return spring is taken advantage of to produce unhurting impact and closure force at the end of the closing course and to eliminate the sealing requirements around the piston rod at the corresponding end of the pneumatic cylinder. The slide track units include a pair of movable door carrier track members to which are attached the doors respectively, the piston rod, and an interconnecting cable allowing removal of the doors without disturbing the setting or mounting of the door closure and hanger system.

    Abstract: A closure for sliding arcadia doors utilizes a pair of telescoping tubes biased to their telescoped or closed position by an internal interconnecting tension spring and employs a pneumatic system and a bleeder valve to control the rate of closing or telescoping of the tubes once they have been opened against the bias of the tension spring. A locking mechanism uses a locking bar and a pair of brackets, one connected to the corner of the door frame and the other mounted on the door for movement with it, (1) to lock the door closed, (2) permit the door to be opened using the door closer so that it is automatically closed by the closer, or (3) to permit the door to be used in its normal manner as if the door closer was not present.

    Abstract: A sliding wing door, as used in railway and similar installations, is disclosed, of the kind in which the door, as it is opened, is first thrust out of its doorspace and slid alongside the vehicle body, the improvement consisting in that one of the component parts of the telescopable guide of the door panel is secured to the movable members of at least two linear ejectors intended to thrust the door panel out of the doorspace. Advantageously, the axes of the two (or more) linear ejectors are inclined through an angle of from 45.degree. to 90.degree. relative to the door space plane. A vertical shaft, mounted parallel and adjacent to the door post provides the initial movement of the door in a direction parallel to the ejector axes: the angle of rotation of the shaft is appropriately limited consistently with the necessity. Certain translation movements of component parts of the mechanism are aided by sets of rollers sliding on specially provided rolling paths.
