Abstract:
An image reader (A) includes a conductive case (1), a substrate (3) and a plurality of light receiving elements. The image reader (A) further includes a first electrode (10) formed at the case (1) and a second electrode (11) formed on the substrate (3). The case (1) is formed with an accommodation recess (1g), in which a conductive contact member (20) is provided. The conductive contact member (20) is held in contact with the first electrode (10) and the second electrode (11) to electrically connect the two electrodes to each other while separating the first electrode (10) and the second electrode (11) from each other.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for adjusting a distance between an original platen glass and a closely contact image sensor (CIS) without disassembling an image reading apparatus. SOLUTION: A CIS unit 10 is provided with: a CIS 12; and an elastic body 13 for energizing the CIS 12 toward a direction approaching the platen glass 4. A CIS roller holder 20 is provided with a thin plate-like spacer 22 molded in a rectangular shape; and a CIS holder 21 for holding the spacer 22 movably in a vertical direction and a sub-scanning direction for the platen glass 4 and to be fixed on the CIS unit 10. Meanwhile, a concave and a convex which can be mated are formed on a surface where the CIS holder 21 opposes the spacer 22. When the CIS unit 10 moves in the sub-scanning direction and the CIS roller holder 20 abuts on a rib 7a (rib 7b), the convex portion of the CIS holder 21 abuts on the concave portion (convex portion) of the spacer 22, and thus, the distance the platen glass 4 and the CIS 12 becomes the shortest. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image reading apparatus provided with a conductive case, and an electrode formed to the case that avoids adhesion of conductive particles onto light receiving elements while properly preventing the case from being charged so as to obtain a proper read image. SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus A includes: the conductive case 1; a board 3 to be assembled to a bottom side of the case 1; a plurality of the light receiving elements for reading an image accommodatable in the inside of the case 1 and provided on the board 3; the first electrode 10 formed to the case 1; and a second electrode 11 provided on the board 3. The case 1 is formed with a container recessed part 1g, which contains a conductive contact member 20 that is in contact with the first electrode 10 in a way of creeping the surface of the first electrode 10 and also in contact with the second electrode 11 for electrically conducting the first and the second electrodes 10, 11 while separating the first and the second electrodes 10, 11.
