Abstract:
A mobile phone filters phone calls based on priority. The mobile phone determines a call priority of an incoming phone call based on the caller's telephone number. The mobile phone also determines a threshold priority for the current time period based on a priority schedule. The mobile phone compares the call priority with the threshold priority to determine whether to block the incoming call. If the mobile phone blocks the incoming phone call, it may transmit a message to the caller suggesting a time for the caller to make the phone call again.

Abstract:
System and method for providing caller name display in a wireless communications system. The method includes receiving an originating telephone number at a mobile device, storing the originating number in the mobile device, transmitting a name lookup request for the originating number from the mobile device to a server, receiving a response including a name corresponding to the. Originating number from the server, storing the name and displaying the name when a call having the same originating number is received. The system includes a mobile device having a display, a memory and a processor. The system also includes a software module configured to store an originating telephone number in the memory, send a name lookup request to a server, receive arid store a response including a name corresponding to the originating number and display the name when a call having the same originating number is received.
Abstract:
A method of detecting that a condition exists that adversely impacts a digital subscriber line service (DSL) over a telephone line shared by the DSL service and a telephone service. The method includes obtaining information regarding operation of the DSL service over a plurality of different time periods, comparing the information for a first of the plurality of time periods with the information for a second of the plurality of time periods, and determining the condition exists based on the comparison.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and system for reducing the proliferation of electronic messages. An electronic message or a portion thereof is transmitted by the server system. A spam notification signal may be received related to the electronic message or the portion thereof. Access to said electronic message is restricted solely in response to receiving the spam notification signal.
Abstract:
A coloring ring selecting method, apparatus and system are provided. The method includes: obtaining at least one coloring ring ID which can be used in a calling according to the user identification information; and obtaining the corresponding coloring ring description information according to the obtained coloring ring ID; and obtaining the corresponding user attribute information in the calling according to the user identification information; matching the coloring ring description information and the corresponding user attribute information using a matching strategy, and selecting an object coloring ring according to the matching result.
Abstract:
One-to-many comparisons of callers' words and/or voice prints with known words and/or voice prints to identify any substantial matches between them. When a customer communicates with a particular entity, such as a customer service center, the system makes a recording of the real-time call including both the customer's and agent's voices. The system segments the recording to extract different words, such as words of anger. The system may also segment at least a portion of the customer's voice to create a tone profile, and it formats the segmented words and tone profiles for network transmission to a server. The server compares the customer's words and/or tone profiles with multiple known words and/or tone profiles stored on a database to determine any substantial matches. The identification of any matches may be used for a variety of purposes, such as providing representative feedback or customer follow-up.
Abstract:
