Abstract:
Iron-based metallurgical powder compositions are produced by mixing iron-based powder with an improved binder/lubricant that comprises dibasic organic acid and one or more additional components such as solid polyethers, liquid polyethers, and acrylic resin. These novel binder/lubricants impart one or more enhanced green properties to the powder compositions and reduce the ejection force required to remove the compositions from molds and dies.
Abstract:
A grease composition, having improved water resistance, adhesion and low temperature pumpability properties, which comprises (a) from 50 to 98 wt%, based on grease, of a lubricating oil; (b) from 1 to 30 wt%, based on grease, of a thickener; and (c) from 0.5 to 2.0 wt%, based on grease of polymer selected from either a defined block copolymer of the structure A-B, or a hydrogenated star-shaped polymer having a poly(divinylbenzene) nucleus and at least seven hydrogenated polyisoprene arms linked to said nucleus. The grease has an apparent viscosity of less than about 3500 poise (350 Pa.s) at 20 sec⁻¹.

According to the present invention, a multi grade lubricating oil composition which is excellent in shear stability can be obtained.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a working fluid composition for a refrigerating machine which contains difluoromethane and a refrigeration oil. An ester formed between (a) an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol having a carbon number of 2 to 12; and (b) a saturated aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having a carbon number of 4 to 9 or a derivative thereof, the ratio of the number of acyl groups having a branched chain or branched chains to the number of the entire acyl groups in the ester being not less than 95%, is used as a base oil of the refrigeration oil. The working fluid composition for refrigerating machine of the present invention is excellent not only in compatibility, lubricity, and electric insulating property but also in thermal stability as compared to the conventional products.
