Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for reproducing contents in a digital broadcasting system is provided to extend the contents into 3D video/image. CONSTITUTION: A standard track including a standard segment with 2D or 3D data is received(S210). A reference track including a supplementary segment with the 3D data is received(S220). The standard track is reproduced by referring to the reference track(S230). The standard segment temporally corresponds to the reference segment. The reference segment is not overlapped or is synchronized with the reference segment.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A depth image editing method and apparatus are provided to minimize the work load of a person necessary to the acquisition of a depth image. CONSTITUTION: An input unit receives the selection of a depth image frame and a color image(410). The input unit receives the selection of an interested object within the color image(430). An extraction unit extracts the border information of the interested object(450). Using the border information of the interested object, an editing unit modifies the depth value of the depth image frame(470).

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for extracting a texture image and a depth image are provided to consecutively irradiate a pattern image to a target object and photograph a scene image. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(101) includes a pattern image irradiating unit(102), an image photographing unit(103), and an image processing unit(104). The pattern image irradiating unit irradiates a pattern image to a target object. The image photographing unit takes a photograph of a scene image. If the pattern image is reflected from the target object, the pattern image is changed into the scene image. The image processing unit extracts a texture image and a depth image through the photographed scene image.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing 3d image data in a 3d image system are provided to convert a depth image into a parallax map to transmit image data by a new transmission method, thereby increasing coding efficiency in transmission and reducing a calculation amount with a memory used in a receiver. CONSTITUTION: The first filtering unit(120) quantizes depth image data using a histogram included in image data received from image photographing devices.
