Abstract:
A new antibiotic, designated as neocopiamycin A, is useful as antifungal agent. Neocopiamycin A is fermentatively produced as a minor component, in addition to copiamycin, by a microorganism Streptomyces hygroscopicus var. crystallogenes (FERM BP-576) which is known to produce the known antibiotic copiamycin.
wherein R represents hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 -alkyl. These compounds are obtained by fermentation of the known saframycin A producing strain Streptomyces lavendulae No. 314 and by reaction with the amino acids L-tyrosine, L-methionine, glycine and HOOC - (CH)NH 2 -CH 2 -R. When R is hydrogen, saframycin Y 3 and when R is methyl, saframycein Y d-1 are produced.
Abstract:
Es werden neue Saframycin-Derivate der Formel worin R Wasserstoff oder C₁-C₄-Alkyl, R₁ C₁-C₇-Alkyl, Aryl-C₁-C₄-alkyl oder die Acylgruppe einer organischen Säure und R₂ Wasserstoff oder C₁-C₇-Alkyl darstellen, und Verfahren zur Herstellung dieser Derivate beschrieben. Die neuen Saframycin-Derivate zeigen antibiotische und anti-Tumor-Wirkung.

Abstract:
Cell bodies or endospores of Clostridium butyricum MII588-Sens 1 strain or Clostridium butyricum MII588-Res 1 are effective as biological enterobactericide.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for falling down a rest pin in which a function of a rest of a western baw is extended, and its adjustment is easy, and which is accurate and safe. SOLUTION: The present apparatus is adapted such that it drives and controls a push pin unit mounted on a slide shaft 2 and a rest free to fall through a wire cable 7. More specifically, for securely falling the rest pin at an optimum position, the slide shaft 2 and the rest part are connected through the wire cable 7 and are interlocked with a cable slide 5 to freely set the timing the rest pin is fallen.
Abstract:
Antibiotic substance named saframycin S having antibacterial activities and produced by decyanating antibiotic saframycin A or cultivating Streptomyces lavendulae strain No. 314 and recovering saframycin S from a cultured broth.
Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:An antibiotic saframycin S which is assumed to have structures of immonium and alpha-carbinol as given in formula I or II; the color and description: deep yellow, powder; melting point: 107-115 deg.C; specific rotatory power: alphaD = +32.5 (0.5 MeOH); molecular weight: 553; empirical formula: C28H30N3O8 . OH . USE:Antibiotic and anticancer agent: it has the same level of biological activity as saframycin A and is effective on gramnegative and -positive bacteria and acid-fast bacteria. Further, it shows effecacy in mice lymphemia, too. PREPARATION:Saframycin A of formula III (R1 is H; R2 is CN) is heated under reflux and agitation to effect acidolysis and denitration, thus giving saframycin S of formula I or II. The compound of formula III is known and obtained by cultivating Streptomyces lavendulae No.314 (FERM-3218).
