Abstract: The system is for granulate entirely of hydrocarbon materials, and which is blown into a furnace. After heating part of the furnace, only the granulate is blown as fuel into an ignition chamber (1), until the ignition temperature of the granulate is reached. The fuel quantity is then increased in stages by 1.5 to two times, giving steadily-rising combustion-gas pressure. This is reduced by discharging most of the gas into adjacent combustion chambers (4), which are thus heated to the granulate ignition temperature, this then needing no supporting fire. ADVANTAGE - Increases heat output by up to 10 times compared with systems currently in use, being particularly for waste from the chemical or plastics industries.

Abstract: A tubular pushing member, when released by the trigger of a pistol grip moves forward under the pull of a spring, releases the catch of a sliding carriage which then quickly jabs forward under the pull of another spring to jab the needle of a syringe carried by it through the patient's skin, after which the further progress of the pushing member comes up against the plunger of the syringe, which it engages with an adjustable plunger mounted on a heel bracket of the tubular pushing member. The progress of the actuation of the syringe plunger may be slowed down, interrupted or allowed to accelerate at any stage of the injection by virtue of frictional engagement with the tubular pushing member by a rubber piece mounted on the top edge of the trigger plate and a spring weaker than the trigger spring makes it possible for the braking friction to taper off gradually for better control of the movement of the syringe piston as the trigger is pulled away from the tubular pushing member against the force of the trigger spring.

Abstract: A pistol-like casing provides for mounting a tubular holder containing a syringe in the gun barrel portion of the casing so it may be cocked in the withdrawn position against the force of a spring and released by movement of an arresting pawl. Pulling back a trigger advances a push rod that first trips the pawl, then brings force to bear against the piston rod of the syringe. After the needle is driven into the skin by the release of the pawl and the actuating mechanism has been brought to bear against the syringe piston-rod, the injection of the syringe contents can proceed under control of hand feel without any necessity of changing or shifting the hand grip, by simply continuing to pull the trigger back.
