    Abstract: PURPOSE: To enhance the injection performance of a fuel injector assembly of a two-cycle engine by making up it of a check valve means for sending fuel into the crankcase, and a fastener housing means for fixing a reed valve block to the position where the reed valve block is opened. CONSTITUTION: In a two-cycle V-6 engine, one-way reed valves 27 for respective cylinders supported by a fuel/air supply block are fitted respectively to a fitting member 32, and the respective fitting members 32 are fitted to a common fitting plate 36. A plurality of fuel injector assemblies 35 are fixed to this fitting plate 36 on the opposite side of the reed valves 27, The fuel injector assembly 35 comprises a check valve or a fuel injector 41 consisting of a valve ball 39 and a valve seat 40, and the fuel injector 41 is firmly held inside the hollow passage of a housing 45 by the fitting of the fastener housing 45 so that fuel can be passed through a nipple connecting part 42 to an outlet orifice 44.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce costs and weight and to improve impact resistance by a method in which a load shearing layer is constituted by curing a filament- wound inner skin, and the flexibility of the layer is increased by the incorporation of a flexible matrix resin so that the inner skin gives both a structural layer and an inside liner to a container. CONSTITUTION: In a filament-wound container like a fuel tank 10, a filament- wound inner skin 38 is wound with a frame barrier 34 and a filament-wound outer skin 36 in turn. The inner skin 38 contains a flexible matrix resin to give both the structural layer and inner liner of the container. The layer 38 not only gives the effective liner to the container but also constitutes its load shearing composition. The load shearing liner layer 38 has flexibility of 20-30% order, which is obtained by modifying an epoxy resin with a softening agent. Thermoplastic resins having similar elongation and environmental compatibility can be used as the flexible matrix resin for the load shearing liner 38.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To simplify an apparatus considerably and to make it very inexpensive and safe by a method wherein thermo-matrix bonding resin is changed thermally, while it is wound on a mandrel, by making a current flow through a filament means. CONSTITUTION: Passing through a rotating pulley 42, a filament means comes to be a part 40a on a mandrel 20 through a pair of guide eyelets 24 and a let-off means 26 and is wound thereon. The let-off means includes another eyelet 44 which is insulated electrically by an insulating spacer 46, for instance, and engaged electrically with a power source at a point 48. The mandrel 20 is made of an electrically conductive material and grounded electrically directly at a point 50 or indirectly at a point 52 through a shaft 18. The shaft 18 is an electric conductor, of course. Accordingly, a current flows through the part 40a of the filament means 40 between the eyelet 44 and the mandrel 20 and heats the filament means and thereby thermo-matrix bonding resin is melted, i.e., changed continuously at the time when the filament means is wound on the mandrel so that an object be formed.
