    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminator, an image sensor unit and an original reader provided with it with which the images of high quality can be obtained at a low cost. SOLUTION: This illuminator is provided with a light source 20 and a light guide body 10 for guiding light made incident from the light source 20 so as to linearly illuminate a body to be illuminated. A slit 17 is provided on the part corresponding to an illumination line L of the light transmission body 10. A light guide means for propagating luminous fluxes from one side to the other side of the light guide body 10 separated by the slit 17 is provided. The illumination line L is illuminated at least from both sides opposing each other of the slit 17.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a narrow recording head used corresponding to an inexpensive photosensitive drum high in the reliability of electrical connection and having a small size, for example, a small diameter as compared with a conventional photosensitive drum, and a method for mounting the recording head. SOLUTION: A recording head is constituted so that recording elements 11 mounted on a first substrate 19 and the drive parts 22, 24 of the recording elements provided to a second substrate are electrically connected by wire bonding. In this case, both substrates are arranged in close vicinity to each other so that the upper surface of the first substrate and the inner surfaces of the through-holes 16 formed to the second substrate 18 become an almost same plane and the bonding pads on the first substrate or the bonding pads of the recording elements 11 are connected to the inner surfaces of the through- holes by wire bonding.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize reliable and accurate alignment by aligning the board to be wired with a mask under a light source device and exposing them. CONSTITUTION:The film mask 1 is positioned on an alignment stage 50, and the light source device 70 is set above them. By moving the stage 50 in a direction X, Y or theta, a register mark 15 is aligned with a register mark 15', thereby aligning the mask 1 with the printed circuit board W. The alignment of the marks 15 and 15' is confirmed by a CCD camera 60. After finishing the alignment, the mask 1 and the board W which are brought into contact with each other are irradiated with light such as ultraviolet rays by the light source device 70 thereby a pattern drawn on the mask 1 is projected and printed on the board W. Since the alignment of the mask 1 with the board W is realized, printing with extremely high accuracy is executed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a printed wiring board having high reliability and a large integration scale at a low cost by performing a processing of improving the contact with conductive paste for lands before land regions are connected by use of conductive paste. CONSTITUTION:An insulating sheet 103 is laminated on one surface of a board 101. A copper foil 104 of an arbitrary thickness, on which very fine particles made of copper and copper oxide are electrodeposited and to which contact improvement processing is applied, is adhered on the land regions on which a conductive paste 106 is laminated. After this, on the copper foil 104 is formed an etching resist film of such a shape required corresponding to the land and circuit. The copper foil 104 of the unnecessary portion is dissolved and removed by etching to form a lower layer circuit, and thereafter an insulating paste film 105 is formed with the land side required for connection being left. Then, using a conductive paste 106 containing copper, silver, or silver palladium, a desired circuit is formed thereon. As a result of this, the conductive paste and the land side of the lowest layer circuit is fully in contact with each other, and an one-side multilayer printed wiring board having high reliability and large integration scale can be obtained at a low cost.

CONSTITUTION:In an electronic component 2 having a plurality of connecting terminals 3, the lengths of the adjacent terminals 3a and 3b are differentiated. Thus, when the component 2 is mounted on a substrate 1, the lengths of the terminals protruded from the substrate 1 become different between the adjacent terminals. Accordingly, since the surface tensions of melted solders are different between the adjacent terminals when the terminals are soldered, a bridge is scarcely formed. In this example, the lengths are differentiated between the adjacent terminals, but similar advantages can be obtained even if the thicknesses of the terminals are differentiated therebetween.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flexibility and product reliability at a high non- defective ratio and reduce the cost by coating a crack-preventing layer on the surface of a flexible part of the board. SOLUTION: The number of layers L1-L8 of a laminate structure is freely selectable; the layers L1-L5 and 8 are rigid and those L6, L7 are flexible and pref. glass epoxy Cu-clad laminate boards of 0.06-0.1mm each. The inner rigid layers L2-L3, L4-L5 use a known glass epoxy Cu-clad laminate board 6 which is treated by the pattern forming, developing, etching, reference drilling, and blacking. The flexible layers L6-L7 are treated for pattern forming, developing, etching and reference drilling, and then an epoxy resin 8 is applied to exposed surface parts of the layers L6-L7 pref. 5-35μm thick and dried. A silicone resin 7 is then applied pref. 5-35μm thick thereon and dried.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a work to be exposed to light without deforming it by a method wherein one or more light exposure stages are provided in a movable manner, and the light exposure stages are so moved as to close a gap at exposure. CONSTITUTION:A base is made to ascend, and corner exposure stages 2a to 2d are so moved in the directions of Y and X as to come into close contact with a center exposure stage 1 and middle exposure stages 3a and 3b. At the same time, the middle exposure stages 3a and 3b are moved in the direction of Y so as to come into close contact with the center exposure stage 1, and the whole work is sucked by suction holes to be fixed. By these movements of stages, gaps between the stages are fully closed, so that the work is placed on a flat stage. The work is subjected to a prescribed exposure process in this state. At this point, as the work is placed on a single stage, it is excellent in evenness and never deformed. Therefore, a light exposure process of high accuracy can be realized.
