Abstract:
A hinge assembly is provided to mount a door to a housing, and includes a housing fixation section (1), a hinge cup (3) pivotally connected to the housing fixation section (1), and a damping mechanism (4) positioned entirely within the hinge cup (3) to dampen movement of the door as it closes on the housing.
Abstract:
A method for cleaning a fixture (40) utilized in an electronic spray painting process to remove adhered paint particles from the fixture (40) utilizing inductive heating (26) to heat the paint particles to a temperature sufficient to thermally decompose the paint particles to ash and gaseous combustion products. Also disclosed is an apparatus (50) for carrying out the method.
Abstract:
A drawer slide assembly control mechanism including a cabinet rail and a drawer rail is provided, the control mechanism including a drawer latch bracket associated with one of the drawer and the drawer rail and having an engagement tab extending outwardly therefrom, and a shock-absorbing sub-assembly. The shock-absorbing sub-assembly includes an elongate bracket member associated with the cabinet rail and capable of limited linear movement along a portion of the cabinet rail, a movable latch associated with the elongate bracket member and cooperating with the engagement tab of the drawer latch so as to move in concert with movement of the drawer rail over at least a portion of a length of the drawer rail, and a shock absorber associated with the elongate bracket member and cooperating with the movable latch for damping movement of the movable latch at least during a closing stroke of the drawer rail.
Abstract:
A drawer closing mechanism comprising a rack (20) fixed in position with respect to a furniture frame member and comprising a plurality of teeth (22) a drive gear (32) mounted to a drawer and comprising a plurality of teeth for engaging the teeth (22) on the rack (20), and a spring (34) with two ends, one end fixedly attached to said drive gear (32) and rotatable therewith and the opposite end fixed, wherein as the drawer is pulled open, the teeth on the drive gear (32) engage the teeth (22) on the rack (20) and rotate the drive gear (32), and as the drive gear (32) rotates, the spring (34) is wound and potential energy is stored in the tension therein. The drawer slide (24) is mounted to the furniture frame member, and the rack (20) is mounted to the drawer slide. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the spring (34) comprises a flat wire spring wound circumferentially about a central point in a spiral.
