Abstract:
The invention relates to a chewing gum tablet comprising at least two individual coherent chewing gum modules, at least one of said chewing gum modules comprising compressed gum base granules and wherein said compressed gum base granules comprise at least one biodegradable polymer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to chewing gum comprising at least one biodegradable polyester copolymer obtained by the polymerization of two or more cyclic esters by ring-opening, said at least one biodegradable polyester copolymer having a molecular weight of less than 150000 g/mol and said chewing gum further comprising chewing gum ingredients. According to the invention, an improved release of chewing gum ingredients has been obtained when a texture acceptable biodegradable polyester copolymer are applied as a chewing gum polymer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a compressed chewing gum tablet (37) comprising a chewing gum center (38) fully or partly encapsulated by a barrier layer (39), said gum center (38) comprising a compression of gum base granules (32) and chewing gum additives (33), said chewing gum additives comprising sweeteners and flavors, said gum base granules (32) having a moderated tackiness.
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a method of producing a compressed tablet in a rotary tablet press. The method comprising the steps of adding a first powdered portion of tablet base material into a punch die of a rotary tablet press, pressing said first tablet base material by means of an upper and a lower punch to obtain a first pressed material, inserting an object at the upper face of the first pressed material and fixing the object in a central cavity of the first pressed material, adding a second powdered portion of tablet base material into the punch die of the rotary tablet press, and pressing said first and second tablet base material around the object to enclose the object from the surface of the tablet. The object is based on a material different from the first and/or the second powdered portion of tablet base material.
Abstract:
Novel Tobacco chewing gum compositions are provided comprising at least one water insoluble gum base portion and a water soluble bulk portion, wherein the at least one gum base portion and the bulk portion are combined, and wherein nicotine- containing tobacco fibres are included in the at least one gum base portion before combining the at least one gum base portion with the bulk portion.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the non-medical use of a phosphorus compound binding agent in a slow release oral delivery system comprising chewing gum, wherein said phosphorus compound binding agent is chitosan, for reducing the level of free phosphorus compounds in the digestive juice.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the non-medical use of a combination of a phosphorus compound binding agent and an organic acid in a slow release oral delivery system comprising at least one delivery vehicle and/or excipient, wherein said phosphorus compound binding agent is chitosan, for reducing the level of free phosphorus compounds in the digestive juice.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a compressed chewing gum tablet comprising at least one chewing gum module, the chewing gum module including a chewing gum composition comprising chewing gum particles containing gum base, wherein said chewing gum tablet comprises at least one sterol compound, and wherein at least a part of said at least one sterol compound is located outside said chewing gum particles containing gum base.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a compressed chewing gum tablet comprising particles of chewing gum base material, wherein the content of gum base is at least 5% by weight of the tablet and wherein the chewing gum tablet is compressed at a pressure of more than 12 kN/cm 2 and wherein the chewing gum tablet has a volume above 0.15 cm 3 . According to the invention, it has moreover been realized that a further rise in compression pressure improves the "crunch-feel".
Abstract:
The present invention relates to confectionary compositions comprising one or more encapsulation delivery systems containing high intensity sweeteners and natural resins. The invention furthermore relates to the encapsulation delivery system as such as well as to methods of preparing the encapsulation delivery system and the confectionary composition.
