Abstract:
An electroconductive substrate for an electrically responsive recording material comprising a porous substrate and a layer of at least one cationic or anionic electric conductor, the conductor layer being formed in the porous substrate along the entire thickness direction thereof extending from one surface of the porous substrate to the other surface of the porous substrate, wherein the conductor layer has a multilayer distribution structure comprising (a) a layer of a cationic electroconductive resin distributed predominantly in the one surface portion of the porous substrate, (b) a layer of an anionic electroconductive resin distributed predominantly in the other surface portion of the porous substrate and (c) a layer of a polysalt of the cationic electroconductive resin and the anionic electroconductive resin interposed between both the electroconductive resin layers (a) and (b) in such a positional relationship that the polysalt layer (c) is adjacent to the electroconductive resin layers (a) and (b).
Abstract:
A copying machine of the diazo type comprises a light exposure zone for exposing to light a diazo type photosensitive sheet superposed with an original, a development zone for developing the light exposed photosensitive sheet and a delivery mechanism for feeding the original and diazo type photosensitive sheet to the light exposure zone and forwarding the light exposed photosensitive sheet to the development zone. The light exposure zone includes a transparent cylinder capable of rotating while having a superposed assembly of the original and photosensitive sheet closely contacting the outer surface thereof and a heat-generating light source mounted in the interior of the transparent cylinder. The transparent cylinder has a fan for feeding cold air into the transparent cylinder from one end thereof and cooling the outer surface of the transparent cylinder substantially uniformly along the entire length thereof and a temperature-detecting mechanism thermoconductively contacting the outer surface of the transparent cylinder to detect the temperature of the outer surface. A temperature-controlling mechanism is provided to control the air feed rate of the fan in response to signals from the temperature detecting mechanism, to control the temperature of the outer surface of the transparent cylinder within a predetermined temperature range.

Abstract:
A process for the diazo-type multicolor reproduction which comprises (A) exposing to light a diazo-type photosensitive material having a photosensitive layer containing at least one diazonium salt (c) and a coupler (b) having a substantially lower rate of coupling with the diazonium salt (c) than that of resorcin, said coupler being present in the photosensitive material in an amount of not greater than 1 mole per mole of said diazonium salt (c), and (B) heating a layer of at least one thermovolatile or thermosublimative coupler (a) disposed in a face-to-face contact with said photosensitive material at a predetermined portion, said steps being carried out coincidentally or in the order of (A) to (B) or (B) to (A), and then developing the exposed photosensitivematerial. photosensitive material.

1282058 Electro-photographic developers MITA INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 17 Dec 1969 [18 Dec 1968] 61581/69 Heading G2H A liquid developer comprises a dispersion in an insulating liquid of toner particles of an amine salt formed by the reaction of a dyestuff or dyestuff base possessing at least one amino group with an aliphatic carboxylic acid of at least eight carbon atoms, the developer having dissolved therein free aliphatic carboxylic acid in an amount of at least 3 mols per mol of the amine salt. It is stated that the dissolved free acid inhibits dissociation of the amine salt. Preferred dyes, acids and carrier liquids are listed. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1196749.
Abstract:
An electrophotographic machine of such type that a roll-like electrophotographic copying paper is fed into each of treating zones disposed along a copying paper transfer passage by means of a feed reel and an optical system for forming an image corresponding to an image of an original to be copied is moved on a passage for the optical system in a machine frame to effect slit exposure; wherein the electrophotographic copying paper is cut in a size corresponding to an optional exposure length of the original, and the movement of the optical system for the exposure step is complete in correscpondence to the optional exposure length of the original and simultaneously the return movement of the optical system is initiated, whereby the copying operation can be accomplished promptly without bringing about a waste of electrophotocopying paper and a loss time during the copying operation.
