Abstract:
A copying machine comprising an original detecting member upstream of an original-exposing section of an original transfer passageway, a synchronizing feed roller immediately upstream of the original detecting member, and a sensitive paper detecting member upstream of a sensitive paper-exposing section of a sensitive paper transfer passageway. In order to cause both an original and a sensitive paper to reach the exposing sections synchronously. When the original has reached the original detecting member, the rotation of the synchronizing roller is stopped, and at the same time, the supply of a continuous sheet of sensitive paper is begun, and when the leading edge of the sensitive paper has reached the sensitive paper detecting member, the rotation of the synchronizing roller is resumed. The sensitive paper is cut to a predetermined size by the action of a timer.
Abstract:
An electrophotographic machine of such type that a roll-like electrophotographic copying paper is fed into each of treating zones disposed along a copying paper transfer passage by means of a feed reel and an optical system for forming an image corresponding to an image of an original to be copied is moved on a passage for the optical system in a machine frame to effect slit exposure; wherein the electrophotographic copying paper is cut in a size corresponding to an optional exposure length of the original, and the movement of the optical system for the exposure step is complete in correscpondence to the optional exposure length of the original and simultaneously the return movement of the optical system is initiated, whereby the copying operation can be accomplished promptly without bringing about a waste of electrophotocopying paper and a loss time during the copying operation.
Abstract:
Apparatus for preventing successive jamming of copy sheets in copying apparatus including a detecting machine generating a first signal in response to delivery of a copy sheet at the initial nip of a forwarding mechanism of the copying apparatus by a copy sheet feeding mechanism, another detecting mechanism generating a second signal in response to the arrival of a copy sheet at a discharge nip of the forwarding mechanism, and a control switch mechanism responsive to the first and second signals to inhibit operation of the copy sheet feeding mechanism when in a first state responsive to the first signal and to enable operation of the copy sheet feeding mechanism in response to the second signal such that the copy sheet feeding mechanism is inhibited when a copy sheet is in a forwarding passage of the copying apparatus to prevent successive jamming of the copy sheets. The control switch mechanism is essentially a bistable circuit switching states in response to the first and second signals and various control mechanism are disclosed utilizing relays, semi-conductor devices, gas tubes and combinations thereof.
