Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are disclosed for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) to request collaborative session control transfer for transferring control of an Internet Protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS) collaborative session from a controller WTRU to another WTRU, such as a controllee WTRU. The collaborative session control transfer request is sent to an IMS Service Centralization and Continuity Application Server (SCC AS). Methods and apparatus are also disclosed for a WTRU to request inter device transfer (IDT) for transferring an IMS collaborative session media session flow from one WTRU to another WTRU.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for operating supplementary cells in licensed exempt (LE) spectrum. An aggregating cell operating in a frequency division duplex (FDD) licensed spectrum is aggregated with a LE supplementary cell operating in a time sharing mode for uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) operations. The LE supplementary cell may be an FDD supplementary cell dynamically configurable between an UL only mode, a DL only mode, and a shared mode, to match requested UL and DL traffic ratios. The LE supplementary cell may be a time division duplex (TDD) supplementary cell. The TDD supplementary cell may be dynamically configurable between multiple TDD configurations. A coexistence capability for coordinating operations between the LE supplementary cell with other systems operating in the same channel is provided. Coexistence gaps are provided to measure primary/secondary user usage and permit other systems operating in the LE supplementary cell channel to access the channel.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for Inter-User Equipment Transfer (IUT) of an IP Multimedia (IM) Subsystem (IMS) session between a circuit switched (CS) wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and an IMS-capable WTRU.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for bookmarking streaming media sessions are disclosed. Bookmarks may be used for hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) streaming media sessions and may support pause and resume functionalities. The bookmarks may be stored at a server or may be stored at a client. The bookmarks may use current HTTP functionalities or may modify existing HTTP functionalities. Methods and apparatus for inter-device session transfer of a streaming media session with bookmarking support are also disclosed. A device currently streaming a media session may initiate the session transfer or a target device may initiate the session transfer. A bookmark may be explicitly requested and stored at the server by a device, may be part of an inter-wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) transfer command sent to a server, or may be sent directly from one device to another device.
Abstract:
A method of Inter-User Equipment (UE) Transfer (IUT) for use in a Home enhanced-Node B (H(e)NB), the method comprising receiving a transfer command from a first IMS capable WTRU via IMS signaling, translating the transfer command to a non-IMS based message, and transmitting the translated non-IMS based message to a Service Centralization and Continuity Application Server (SCC AS).
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing session duplication are provided. A communication session between a first wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and a remote device may be duplicated to add a second WTRU to the communication session without disruption of the communication session on the first WTRU or the remote device. The communication session may be duplicated by a network unit in response to a policy or a communication session duplication request. The first WTRU or the second WTRU may initiate session duplication by transmitting a communication session duplication request. Session duplication may include duplication of one or more media flows associated with the communication session. Session duplication may include transferring or sharing control of the communication session.

Abstract:
A network management node may manage a network of base stations and wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) that operate using diverse radio access technologies. The network management node may communicate with other network management nodes to manage spectrum usage across their respective managed networks. The network management node may acts as a proxy for cellular-capable WTRUs that operate within the managed networks. The network management node may perform handovers of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) groups that operate within the managed networks. The WTRUs may include WTRUs that operate at Very High Frequency (VHF) or Ultra High Frequency (UHF) spectrum ("white space") frequencies.
Abstract:
A radio interface layer media independent handover (RIL MIH) client (610) functionality enables transparent inter-system handover of a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) between different radio access technologies (RATs), without user intervention. The RIL MIH client interacts with RIL drivers (630, 635) and proxies (605), informs the RIL proxies of the handover status, then the proxies interact with a new driver in use. A WTRU is modified to add MIH functionality to a telephony server to support inter-system handover.
