Substituted phenyl, naphthyl, and thienyl N-hydroxy urea compounds form a class of potent inhibitors of 5- and 12-lipoxygenase and are thus useful compounds in the treatment of inflammatory disease states where leukotrienes and other products of lipoxygenase enzyme activity are implicated.

Apparatus and methods for generating virtual environment displays based on a group of sensors are provided. A computing device can receive first data about an environment from a first group of one or more sensors. The computing device can model the environment as a virtual environment based on the first data. The computing device can determine whether to obtain additional data to model the environment. After determining to obtain additional data to model the environment, the computing device can: receive second data about the environment, and model the environment as the virtual environment based on at least the second data. The computing device can generate a display of the virtual environment.

A battery system can include a battery section comprising at least one battery cell, the battery section providing a cut-off voltage after a first delay at battery outputs upon turn-on in response to a predetermined load; a boost section configured to supply a boost voltage; and a controller circuit coupled to the battery section and the booster section, and configured to couple the booster section to system outputs to provide the cut-off voltage at system outputs after a second delay upon turn-on, the second delay being shorter than the first delay, and de-couple the booster section from the system outputs once the battery outputs reach the cut-off voltage.

The present invention relates to the use of mutants of parathyroid hormone-related protein, to treat disorders associated with smooth muscle cells, and to inhibit the cellular activation and proliferation thereof. The method can be employed in diverse tissues to effect therapeutic and prophylactic relief for disorders and diseases manifested by activation of smooth muscle that can lead to excessive smooth muscle proliferation. For example, where employed in the vasculature, the inventive method can be used to treat restenosis following angioplasty.
