    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noninvasive method for detecting, positioning, and tracking pathogen and other objects in a living body such as a mammal. SOLUTION: The noninvasive method is for detecting the expression of heterologous genes in a living nonhuman mammal object. The method comprises a process to offer the nonhuman mammal object which has a cell including an introduced gene as follows. Here, (i) the introduced gene includes heterologous genes which code bioluminescent protein or fluorogenic protein. (ii) These subjects are a process including opaque tissue and a process which detects the expression of this heterologous gene by measuring photon radiation which penetrates opaque tissue using a light detection device. Here, a process to maintain this subject under the condition that permits the expression of this heterologous gene by this cell is included in the method. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
