Abstract: Disclosed are a system and a method for re-liquefaction of a boil-off gas. The re-liquefaction system according to the present invention includes a compressor for pressurizing a boil-off gas generated from a storage tank prepared on a ship or a maritime structure; a heat-exchanger in which the pressurized boil-off gas is heat-exchanged with an introduced boil-off gas; an expansion instrument in which the pressurized boil-off gas heat-exchanged in the heat exchanged is adiabatically expanded; and a gas/liquid separator separating the boil-off gas adiabatically expanded through the expansion instrument. An additionally prepared re-liquefying performance inspection unit is capable of measuring the degree of re-liquefaction of the boil-off gas by using the amount of liquid separated from the gas/liquid separator.
