The present invention relates to a novel Scolopendrasin I peptide isolated from Scolopendra subspinipes and a composition thereof. The present invention provides a novel gene (sequence number 1) of an antibacterial and antifungal peptide isolated from Scolopendra subspinipes, or amino acid (sequence number 2) deducted from the gene, and a peptide (sequence number 3) synthesized from the amino acid. The novel Scolopendrasin I peptide isolated from Scolopendra subspinipes and a composition thereof are provided by the present invention. Accordingly, provided are antibiotics, food preservatives, cosmetic preservatives, medicines, etc. which are free from cytotoxicity and are safe for the human body while showing excellent antibacterial activity and antifungal activity.

The present invention relates to a composition for treating or preventing arteriosclerosis and erectile dysfunction, containing, as an active ingredient, a Bombus terrestris larva-derived polypeptide which includes one peptide selected from the group consisting of peptides represented by SEQ ID NOs.: 1 to 14 as an active site, and a health food for ameliorating vascular diseases. The Harmonia axyridis larva-derived peptides and the derivatives thereof of the present invention have antibacterial activities and suppress proliferation of cancer cells through apoptosis.
