Abstract: PURPOSE: A display method of a portable terminal and a device thereof are provided to enhance the usability of the portable terminal by outputting text or multimedia content through a peripheral device with a larger screen and outputting an interface through the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: When a division mode is started, a control unit(10) receives settings of another device to output a layer of an executed application and controls signal transmission to the device corresponding to the layer. When the executed application supports the division mode, the control unit receives the confirmation of entering the division mode from a user and enters the division mode according to a request of the user for the division mode. The layer is an OSD(On Screen Display) layer and the device displays the transmitted OSD layer. Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for providing data from an Internet server in a digital switch is provided to select desired information among all information provided from the server and display selected information by selecting a menu about data provided from the server in a keyphone terminal of a user. CONSTITUTION: If a menu display key is inputted in a terminal for selecting a menu provided from a server(310), a digital switch confirms whether the corresponding terminal is a terminal which supports a function provided from the server(312). If the corresponding terminal is the terminal which supports the function, the digital switch transmits a menu request message to the server. The server receives the menu request message, and transmits corresponding menu data to the digital switch(318). The digital switch displays the menu data received from the server on an LCD of the terminal(320). The digital switch receives key data inputted by a user(322). The digital switch grasps whether the inputted key data are key data capable of being processed(324). If the inputted key data are the key data capable of being processed, the digital switch grasps whether the inputted key is a last menu selection key(326).
