PURPOSE: A visible light communication apparatus and a method for the same are provided to reduce the number of electronic elements by reducing the number of signal kinds. CONSTITUTION: A data processing block(31) processes data to be transmitted, and output the data. A modulator modulates data received from data processing block into the signal for a visible light communication. An optical output unit(33) outputs the light of the predetermined color. The light emitting unit combines one signal of two different signals to the light. An light emitting control unit(35) selects a signal among the different signals.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method thereof for automatically varying a mode of a positioning service in an LBS system using VLC according to the visible light transmission are provided to automatically a convert current mode into a service scenario mode. CONSTITUTION: A controller(620) determines whether a visible light signal is searched through a receiver for VLC within predetermined time. In case the visible light signal is not searched, the controller repetitively performs the search of the visible light signal. When the predetermined threshold number is greater than the predetermined threshold number, the controller stops the search of the visible light signal.

PURPOSE: A method for operating additional information of an image using visible communication and a device therefor are provided to make an individual use wanted additional information by simply operating a remote control device. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit transmits a first request message generated in response to the selection of a user. The communication unit receives second data from a display device in response to the first request message. A data processor(603) confirms a scene identifier when the selection of a user is inputted. The data processor generates the first request message including a terminal identifier allocated to the terminal device and the confirmed scene identifier. The data processor extracts one additional information from the second data received from the display device.

PURPOSE: In a display device, and a remote control system including a remote control terminal of a display device, a remote controlling method and a system input instruction in a long distance through a terminal to a display device. In that way the operation of wanting is practiced. CONSTITUTION: In case a user input is received, a terminal(200) generates a visible light signal according to a user input. If the visible light signal generates, the terminal transmits the visible light signal in the display device(100). The display device decides a coordinate of the cross point through the optical detector. The display device decides an instruction corresponding to the coordinate of the cross point. The display device implements the operation of coping with instruction.

PURPOSE: An apparatus for identifying a visible communication mode and a system having the same are provided to discriminate the transmission of signals from different kinds of communication devices through a preamble sequence having orthogonality. CONSTITUTION: A first sequence generator(110) generates a preamble sequence for indicating a mode of visible light communication, and a sequence length limiter(115) controls the sequence length by considering the length or characteristics of the sequence generated in the first sequence generator. A second sequence generator(120) generates the preamble sequence that secures the orthogonality by using the sequence controlled in the sequence length limiter. An electric/optical converter(130) converts the signal including the preamble sequence outputted from the second sequence generator into an optical signal.

Light sources transmit data received from the communications control equipment to visible light communications terminals. The communications control equipment decides one or more light source among light sources. The control device assigns the time slot.
