Abstract: PURPOSE: An ink cartridge used for an ink jet printer is provided to effectively fill ink in an ink reservoir and to prevent a leaf spring from being eroded by installing the leaf spring at an outer portion of the ink reservoir. CONSTITUTION: An ink cartridge includes an ink reservoir, a housing(110), and a negative pressure maintaining device, such as a leaf spring(130). The ink reservoir has a base plate(100), a cover plate(102) and a flexible partition wall(104) for closing a space formed between the base plate(100) and the cover plate(102). The housing(110) is coupled to the base plate(100) by means of a coupling device, thereby covering the ink reservoir. The leaf spring(130) is installed between the cover plate(102) and the housing(110). The leaf spring(130) includes a housing fixing section fixed to the housing(110) and a plate fixing section fixed to the cover plate(102). The housing fixing section is connected to the plate fixing section through a connection member.
