PURPOSE: An AV apparatus, an AV apparatus control device and a control method are provided to mount a program for controlling a web browser and an AV apparatus in an apparatus having a user interface for mutually interacting with a user, thereby easily controlling the AV apparatus while easily sensing whether an event is generated in the AV apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A client(200) corresponds to an apparatus for controlling other AV apparatus. A server(210) corresponds to the other AV apparatus controlled by the client(200). The client(200) includes a web browser(220) for controlling the server(210). The web browser(220) consists of an HTML file(230) and a plug-in module(240) loaded by the web browser(220). The server(210) consists of a web server(250) for supplying a web page of the server(210), and a server agent(260) for substantially controlling the AV apparatus. The plug-in module(240) processes various types of data in connection with the web browser(220).

PURPOSE: An apparatus, method and system for discriminating a device using a radio signal are provided to allow a user to select a device by simply directing a radio signal receiver toward the target device to be controlled. CONSTITUTION: An infrared receiver(310) receives an infrared signal including an identification number of a device. An identification number extractor(320) extracts the identification number from the received infrared signal. An information storing unit(340) stores a device identification number(342) and a device identifier(344) corresponding to the device identification number(342). A device selecting/displaying unit(350) provides the device identifier(344) to a user. A search unit(330) provides the device identifier(344) corresponding to the same device identification number registered in the information storing unit(340) as the identification number extracted from the identification number extractor(320) to the device selecting/displaying unit(350). A device identifier input unit(360) receives information on the device identifier(344) from the user and provides it to the information storing unit(340).

PURPOSE: A device and a method for displaying a distributed multimedia data list are provided to make a user conveniently exchange the multimedia data between the devices on the network and view the multimedia. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia device searcher(21) searches a multimedia device distributed/placed on the network and storing the multimedia data from the network. A multimedia device list display part(22) receives the multimedia device information from the multimedia device list searcher and displays the list of the multimedia device appointed by the received multimedia device information. A multimedia device selector(23) selects the multimedia device by receiving the selection of the multimedia device from the user. A multimedia data requestor(24) requests the list of the multimedia data to the selected multimedia device. A multimedia data list display part(25) receives the list of the multimedia data by responding to the request of the multimedia data list requestor and displays the received multimedia data list.

TV의 빈 채널에 홈 네트워크상의 콘텐트를 할당하여 사용자의 편의성을 증대시키는 콘텐트 처리 방법 및 장치가 개시되어 있다. 본 발명은 방송 신호가 할당된 채널과 빈 채널 정보를 저장하는 과정, 홈 네트워크상에 연결된 서버 기기들에 콘텐트 목록을 요청하여 수신하는 과정, 저장된 빈 채널에 상기 수신된 서버 기기의 콘텐트 목록을 매핑하는 과정, 콘텐트 목록이 매핑되어 있는 채널이 선택되면 해당 콘텐트를 재생하는 과정을 포함한다.

A method for transmitting event information between devices connected a network, an apparatus for the same, and a storage medium thereof are provided to confirm an event generated from a network device with various shapes by users. A method for transmitting event information between devices connected a network includes the steps of: checking whether the event information is received from at least one second device connected to the network by a first device connected to the network(901); and outputting an event resource based on the information of at least one event resource including the received event information by the first device when the event information is received(902). The method for transmitting event information between devices connected a network further includes the steps of requesting event information subscription registration to at least one second device by the first device and performing the step when the registration notice of the event resource is received from at least one second device.

A method and a device for generating a task in the network, and a recording medium storing a program thereof are provided to generate the task for at least one new action and/or the action according to a predefined service protocol when a device is controlled based on the task in the network such as the home network comprising UPnP. A UI(User Interface) (301) interfaces between a user and a task generator. A data transceiver(304) transceives data with a task execution device through the network. A controller(302) generates the task by extracting the task generator and transfers the generated task to the task execution device through the data transceiver. A storing part(303) stores the task generators. If a service item based on the task generator is selected from a control menu for the task execution device displayed through the UI, the controller generates the task corresponding to the selected service item. The task generator includes unique ID information, a display message, and a task generation rule of the task generator. The task generation rule includes the information required for generating the task including at least one new action.
