    Abstract: PURPOSE: A structure and a construction method of connection between a circular CFT(Concrete Filled Steel Tubular) column and an RC(Reinforced Concrete) flat plate for top-down construction are provided to securely connect a circular CFT column and an RC flat plate in construction of an underground layer using top-down construction method. CONSTITUTION: A structure of connection between a circular CFT column and an RC flat plate for top-down construction comprises a fixing band and a jacket member. The fixing band is integrally installed on the exterior of a CFT column(10) in the location where the CFT column and a flat plate(30) are connected. The jacket member comprises a first shear head jacket and a second shear head jacket and is assembled to surround the CFT column. The first and second shear head jackets include a bearing band supported by the fixing band and a shear head(3) which is made of a beam member extended to the exterior of the CFT column.
