Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for storing black-box data based on a flash memory are provided to store user information and vehicle information except driving information, thereby easily examining a cause of an accident. CONSTITUTION: A telematics terminal(150) receives vehicle information from one or more detecting devices. An information classifying device receives the vehicle information from the telematics terminal. The classified information identifies the kind of the received vehicle information. A volatile memory stores the vehicle information in an information storage area allocated to the identified kind. A nonvolatile memory stores the vehicle information saved in the information storage area.

Abstract: A flash memory system and a method for data operation of a flash memory are provided to enable efficient mapping/data calculation in a big block flash memory by using a calculation controller. A flash memory(140) includes plural blocks, and stores block status information and operation information for each block. An internal buffer(130) has predetermined storage capacity, and stores data temporarily to calculate the data for the flash memory. An operation controller(120) stores the data necessary to the calculation at the internal buffer in priority. According to the block status information of the flash memory and the data storage status of the internal buffer, the calculation controller controls the data calculation of the correspondent block of the flash memory for the data stored in the internal buffer.
