Abstract: PURPOSE: A telematics system and a method for providing a telematics service in the same are provided to store individual vehicle information of a plurality of vehicles in one portable storage media and apply the individual vehicle information to each vehicle, thereby driving vehicles in a suitable environment for a driver. CONSTITUTION: An external storage management unit(160) performs data store management about mobile storage medium(200) through an interface unit(150). A control unit(110) reads out operating information corresponding to driver/telematics information and vehicles of the moveable storage media through the external storage management unit. The control unit sets drive environment of the vehicle. The control unit stores driving information before and after car driving of the vehicle to the mobile storage medium through the external storage management unit.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for storing black-box data based on a flash memory are provided to store user information and vehicle information except driving information, thereby easily examining a cause of an accident. CONSTITUTION: A telematics terminal(150) receives vehicle information from one or more detecting devices. An information classifying device receives the vehicle information from the telematics terminal. The classified information identifies the kind of the received vehicle information. A volatile memory stores the vehicle information in an information storage area allocated to the identified kind. A nonvolatile memory stores the vehicle information saved in the information storage area.

이를 위하여 본 발명은 감지 장치로부터 차량 정보가 수신되면, 수신된 차량 정보의 종류를 확인하여, 휘발성 메모리에서 해당되는 정보 저장 영역에 저장하고, 휘발성 메모리에 사전에 설정된 크기만큼 차량 정보가 누적되면 비휘발성 메모리로 이동시켜 차량 정보를 저장하는 방법을 제공한다. 또한, 본 발명은 감지 장치로부터 차량 정보를 수신하는 텔레매틱스 단말기; 수신된 차량 정보의 종류를 확인하는 정보 분류기; 확인된 차량 정보의 종류에 사전에 할당된 정보 저장 영역에 저장하는 휘발성 메모리; 및 차량 정보가 사전에 설정된 크기만큼 누적되면, 휘발성 메모리로부터 저장된 차량 정보를 전달받아 저장하는 비휘발성 메모리를 포함하는 차량 정보 저장 장치를 제공한다.
본 발명의 실시예에 따르면, 운행 정보 외에도 사용자 정보나 차량 정보 등을 저장할 수 있어 사고 원인 규명이 용이해지며, 차량 정보 데이터의 효율적인 관리 및 플래시 메모리의 사용 기간 증가 효과를 기대할 수 있다.
