    Abstract: A method for improving mass-sensitivity of a quartz oscillator microbalance using a zinc oxide nano-bar is provided to use to diagnose all kinds of diseases by detecting little amount of material included in a sample. A sensor detecting fluid samples comprises: a vibrating piece in which a zinc oxide nano-bar is formed in a surface; and a probe formed in the surface of the nano-bar. The vibrating piece is a quartz oscillator or the vibrating piece of cantilever. The probe is formed in a gold coating side formed in the surface of the nano-bar. The length of the nano-bar is 0.6 - 2.0 micron.

    Abstract: An electrodynamic cantilever sensor is provided to reduce manufacturing costs by adding a thin film electrode at the existing cantilever and simplifying the structure. An electrodynamic cantilever sensor includes a cantilever(1), a gold thin film(2), an opposite electrode(4), a laser illumination device(6), a detector(7), and a power generating device(8). The cantilever is capable of applying an electric field. The laser illumination device observes the characteristic of curvature of the cantilever. The electric field is generated by applying power to the thin film electrode installed on the cantilever. The thin film electrode is installed at least on one surface of the cantilever. The thin film electrode is made from gold. The detector analyzes the observed behavior from the laser illumination device.

    Abstract: A formaldehyde sensor using a piezo-resistive cantilever is provided to predict sick house syndrome in advance by selectively detecting formaldehyde for preparing against the sick house syndrome. A formaldehyde sensor using a piezo-resistive cantilever includes a cantilever(1), a gold coating film(6), and a mercaptophenol. The cantilever is fixed on a measurement chip(2) and includes a piezo-resistive unit(3). A wheatston bridge is embedded in the measurement chip. The piezo-resistive unit is R1 of the wheatston bridge being connected with R2, R3, and R4 through an electrical connector(5), is dopped and inserted in an upper part of a central shaft, and is folded with the cantilever when the cantilever is folded. The gold coating film is formed on an upper surface of the cantilever for sticking the mercaptophenol thereon. The mercaptophenol detects formaldehyde.
