Abstract: PURPOSE: A duct silencer formed into a corrugated shape is provided to effectively prevent low frequency noise using the corrugation shape of a duct. CONSTITUTION: A duct silencer(10) comprises a duct(50) and corrugation(15). A single sine wave or a plurality of sine waves is connected to the inner wall of the corrugation. The corrugations are placed on the surface of the duct, and face each other. The structural feature of the corrugation is varied. The cycle and height of the corrugation are varied. Gas flows through the duct, and the corrugation is formed above the gas. The duct silencer has a square cross section.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A test apparatus of an acoustic resonator considering flow and temperature is provided to evaluate the influence of flow and temperature and to test the properties of an acoustic resonator. CONSTITUTION: A test apparatus of an acoustic resonator considering flow and temperature comprises a main duct(10), a fan(20), a fan muffler(30), a hot wire(40), an acoustic oscillator(50), a resonator holding unit(60), upper microphones(70), lower microphones(80), a non-reflective end(90), a flow velocity sensor(110), and a processing device. Both ends of the main duct are opened. The fan sends air to the inner bottom of the main duct. The fan muffler reduces noise occurred due to the fan. The hot wire heats flowing air. The acoustic oscillator sends a sound source to the inside the main duct. The resonator holding unit has a resonator. The upper microphones are installed between the acoustic resonator and the resonator holding unit. The lower microphones are installed under the resonator holding unit. The non-reflective end prevents sound from flowing to the top. The flow velocity sensor senses the flow velocity of air and transmits the sensed signal to the processing device.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A muffler for an engine exhaust gas with a jet noise reduction unit is provided to securely reduce jet noise occurred in a suction pipe by forming a jet noise reduction unit. CONSTITUTION: A muffler for an engine exhaust gas with a jet noise reducing unit comprises a muffler body(100) and a jet noise reduction unit(300).
