Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing a neutral and transparent titanium dioxide(TiO2) colloid solution which contains TiO2 nanoparticles dispersed therein and is useful for a multifunctional cold-curable coating agent. CONSTITUTION: The method for preparing an aqueous titanium dioxide colloid solution comprises the steps of: (A) adding a titanium compound and a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of an organic acid having an alcohol group and ketone group, an organic acid having an alcohol group and acetate group, and a salt thereof, sequentially, and dissolving them to perform a reaction; (B) adding distilled water thereto gradually while stirring the solution; (C) adding an alkaline solution to the resultant solution to neutralize it; and (D) heating the solution at a temperature at 85 deg.C or more, wherein the titanium compound and the stabilizer are added in step (A) in no particular order.

Abstract: A ventilated clutch using magnetic fluid is provided to selectively transmit and interrupt power according to changes in viscosity of the fluid while achieving air-cooling effect by an air-cooling ventilated disc, and reduce environmental pollution by restraining use of auto gear oil. A ventilated clutch using magnetic fluid comprises a magnetic fluid chamber(10), a clutch housing, an electromagnetic coil(21), and air-cooing ventilation discs(3,4). The magnetic fluid chamber is charged with magnetic fluid(11) composed by mixing liquid carrier, super paramagnetic grain and surfactant. Viscosity of the charged magnetic fluid is changed, thereby transmitting and interrupting power input from an input shaft(5) with respect to an output shaft(21). The clutch housing is mounted with a moving flywheel(6) having the input shaft at one end. The electromagnetic coil is laid in outer circumference of the magnetic fluid chamber formed inside the clutch housing. A rotor(20) is hermetically built in the magnetic fluid chamber by brushes(13,14). The output shaft is supported by a bearing(15) and exposed through the side of the clutch housing. The air-cooling ventilating discs are mounted on both sides of the clutch housing.
