    Abstract: PURPOSE: Disclosed is a control method of SO3- ion concentration for a wet desulfurization process using Mg(OH)2. CONSTITUTION: The concentration measurement of SO3 ion makes use of the principle that HSO3- ion and SO3- ion are presented in the constant equilibrium ratio under the constant pH and the reduction value of pH of HSO3- by the oxidation is solved the concentration of SO3 ion. The present invention uses hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant of HSO3-. The pH of probed reaction solution from the process is measured and HSO3- ion is completely oxidized by addition of a strong oxidant. And after measurement of pH, the ion concentration of HSO3- before oxidation is calculated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for continuously measuring wet bulb temperature is provided to understand and control the operation state by applying the apparatus to a semi-dry process. CONSTITUTION: A thermo couple(2) for measuring the dry bulb temperature is installed in a gas flow channel(1) to be measured, and connected to a gas temperature controller(10) for maintaining the temperature of a thermostatic bath(5) to be equal to the temperature of gas to be measured, and a recording device(14). A gas inlet pipe(3) is introduced into the thermostatic bath through a blower(4). A first container(7) for supplying a water for wetting a wick(6) is located within the thermostatic bath, and connected to a second container(12) for storing a preliminary material. A pipe(11) extended from the bottom of the second container is connected to the first container through a water feed pipe(8). The second container includes a controller(13) so as to control the first and second containers to have the same water surface level. The thermo couple for measuring the dry bulb temperature, thermo couple for the wick for measuring the wet bulb temperature, and a thermo couple(9) for the gas temperature controller disposed within the thermostatic bath are connected to the recording device.
