Abstract: PURPOSE: A traffic distribution and control management system in an E-PON(Ethernet-Passive Optical Network) system and a method therefor are provided to eliminate unnecessary traffic loads in a subscriber network by dispersing and managing data traffics between an OLT(Optical Line Terminal) system and a plurality of ONUs(Optical Network Units). CONSTITUTION: An OLT system(20) is comprised of a service port function unit(21), a control function unit(22), an OLT traffic distribution function unit(23), a logical link identifier DB(24), an OLT OAM(Operations, Administration and Maintenance) function unit(26), and an OLT management DB. The service port function unit(21) processes traffic transmission/reception with a backbone network. The control function unit(22) controls traffic transmission/reception and transport channel allocation in the OLT system(20). The OLT traffic distribution function unit(23), if a traffic is received from an external backbone network or an internal ONU(40), confirms the type and destination subscriber of the traffic and judges to which ONU the traffic is to be transmitted, based on the logical link identifier DB(24). The OLT OAM function unit(26), managing the network state and performance in the whole system, requests the OAM function unit of each ONU(40) to transmit management information, receives it, and stores it in the OLT management DB.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An ATM-PON(Asynchronous Transfer Mode-Passive Optical Network) operating and managing system and a method thereof are provided to guarantee continuous consistency between actual operation information of a network and operation information managed by an operator. CONSTITUTION: An IPC(Inter Process Communication) processor(301) receives an operator's request, interprets it and transfers it to a corresponding function manager. An operator manager(302) receives information required for authentication of operators, makes a database for the information, and stores and manages it. A configuration manager(303) manages a system configuration of host device and a local device constituting an ATM-PON network. A connection manager(304) manages every ATM connection set in the ATM-PON network. A performance manager(305) collects and manages performance information on various types of ports of the host device and the local device. An obstacle manager(306) manages obstacles of boards or ports of each device. A test manager(307) requests a loopback test, a connectivity test and performance monitoring test function from a management agent system(206) according to an operator's request. A subscriber manager(308) requests registration, deletion and change of subscribers from a pertinent management agent system(206) upon receipt of the request. An operation information manager(309) ensures consistency between operation information of an ATM-PON network manager system(204) and each management agent system(206). A CMIP(Common Management Information Protocol) message processor(310) converts an IPC message into a CMIP message format and transfers it to a CMIP message communicating unit(205). A database interface unit(311) interfaces each manager and a database manager(203). A charging manager(312) generates information required for charging by subscribers.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for recognizing finger gestures is provided to increase the recognition accuracy and efficiently remove noise by grouping similar hand motion interfaces and applying the weight vector of the entire hand motion command and similar hand motion communication group into two steps. CONSTITUTION: A first candidate finger movement command is generated based on the representative waveform and similarity to the finger movement command(S230). The finger movement command is produced by applying weight vectors for each of the finger movements.
