Abstract:
Abstract:
The disclosed are a processor visual synchronizing device of a data communication system having a plurality of processors and line interfaces, and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the processor visual synchronizing device includes: a first local processor which synchronizes a visual of an external device and a system by recognizing the visual difference between the external device and the system by exchanging a visual message with the external device; and a second local processor which receives information on the visual including the visual difference between the external device and the system from the first local processor synchronized with the external device on the visual, and synchronizes the first local processor and the internal visual of the system using the received information on the visual.
Abstract:
In a switching system using an N+1 switch redundancy method, a backplane connects a plurality of switch cards that are mounted in a half-slot of an upper end portion and a lower end portion of the center of a chassis and a plurality of line cards that are mounted in the half-slot of the upper end portion and the lower end portion of the chassis at both sides of the plurality of switch cards. In this case, in each line card and each switch card, a line card and a switch card of the same position are connected in the upper end portion or the lower end portion of the chassis using some connector groups, and a line card and a switch card that are disposed at the upper end portion or the lower end portion of the chassis are crossed and connected using the remaining connector groups.
Abstract:
An apparatus for testing the operation of an Ethernet-based APS process and a method thereof are provided to be utilized in case a special response which deviates from operational principles of the existing APS process is needed. An apparatus for testing the operation of an APS process comprises the followings: a received signal filtering portion(310) which filters a test instruction signal for commanding to test the operation of the APS process in the first node and the second test response signal for showing that the operation of the APS process in the second node is normal, and then generates the first test response signal for showing that the operation of the APS process in the first node is normal; a highest priority part request selection part(320) which selects the highest priority part request signal; and an output signal deciding unit(332) which determines a output signal to be transmitted to the second node.

Abstract:
A protection switching method for a link aggregation group and an apparatus thereof are provided to perform the protection switching independently for respective VLANs(Virtual Local Area Networks) by generating an OAM frame according to a G.8031 standard. A protection switching apparatus includes an LAG(Link Aggregation Group) distribution path information extractor(223) and an OAM(Operations, Administration and Maintenance) frame header generator(224). The LAG distribution path information extractor determines the physical port for a working LAG or a protection LAG from plural physical ports, to which an Ethernet frame from a MAC(Media Access Control) client is distributed. The OAM frame header generator generates a header of the OAM frame, which is related to the Ethernet frame based on the extracted path information. A protection switching scheme according to a G-8031 standard is allocated to the LAG. The OAM frame and the Ethernet frame are distributed to the same physical ports of the working or protection LAG for respective VLANs.
